BCV Internet questions...

A couple of quick questions regarding the internet access at the BCV.

1) Is Wireless access included free? Or is it just wired connections that are free?

2) Anyone have any idea how long the cable is? And where in the living room the connection is? It would be nice to be able to sit on the couch or at the dining table instead of having to crouch in the corner due to a 3 foot long cable...

Only the wired access is free for members staying on points.

As spiceycat said, the jack should be in the bedroom by the desk. If you have a wireless router you can use that an create your own wifi hotspot.

There has been a jack next to the dining table in every BCV one bedroom we've had. The modem itself is next to the corner table.

I have not found a jack in the master bedroom but will look again next trip. The desks are not where they were when BCV opened and it's possible that the jack is by the easy chair (where the desk used to be and where the phone is still located).

In the second bedrooms, the jack is by the small dining table.

The cable is maybe 4 feet long? Some people bring a portable router to create their own wireless.

That's exactly what I was hoping for. Now all I gotta do is find a cheap travel wireless router to bring with me. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thats the one I was looking at, but I cant seem to find it any cheaper than about $75-$100, if not more. A bit much just so I can roam around my 1 BR villa...

Maybe I'll get lucky and the members near by will have already set up a hot spot.
