BCV in May - 7 mo. window

What are the chances of changing my current ressie at SSR for Beach Club Villas, May 3-12 (9 nights)?

If I change the reservation day by day, starting October 3, don't I run the risk of ending up not staying in one place the whole time?

And, what are the chances of getting a rack room discount for the Friday or Saturday of that week? ARe the other discounts, such as the AP discount (if there is one?) better than the DVC discount?

Well, I have a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom booked at BCV for April 28th - May 8th which I am going to try and switch to a Grand Villa at the 7th month window. If I get my GV that will open up part of your time.
