Really out of it lately, I know this is old news but got a couple cell pics.

First floor right? If you are still there, venture up to the top floor and look for the blue walls with blue carpet. I am wondering if that is the new test look for the upcoming Reno.

Yep, I will do that.

Your pictures make the new carpet look better than in person. Last week, the new carpet was varying shades of dark grey to light grey. It looks like industrial carpet squares. It was our first stay in BCV and I hated the new carpeting. Your pics make it look like a tan to light green shade which is much nicer than what we saw. It was only about two rooms worth of carpet they had down. This looks better...but I still like the old carpet since it goes with the theme better.

Unfortunately, we can see that DVC is going more bland and cookie cutter looking than individual theming.

Maybe they are making the rooms and resorts ugly so that we hate to be in our rooms? That will increase park and restaurant attendance.

Yea my cell made it kinda yellow, out and about but will try to get some pics with my camera.

It is very industrial, stiff etc-but maybe it will hold up at least.

If this is the new carpet and not a temporary, I will be very disappointed. If I wanted industrial, I can go and hang out at my doctors office. :sad2:

Yep 5th floor has a sample as mentioned. A lot more character but super flat as well, not quite as industrial either.

Will post some pics maybe tonight.

Awww, rats! When we were there over a year ago, they had samples all over seeing what was popular and how it wore. I voted for this one that was on the fifth floor then-

Not the best, but I liked it better than others offered. Although it doesn't show up well, the walls in the area were repainted also.

I remember seeing that carpet in the pictures in May 2013 when I checked out the BCV to see if I might want to stay there in the future. I thought it was hideous then and thought it must be a temporary fix. I am shocked to here that it is still there!

Since it looks like they choose a new patterned carpet for the BWV hallways I'd certainly hope that this is the one they have chosen for BCV. That other stuff on the first floor has been there for a ridiculously long time now (bad show IMO) and might have been bought at Lowes or Home Depot. But then that's where I feel they shopped for the VWL refurb so maybe.....:sad2:

This is different then what we saw last week. What we saw looked to be an ocean floor with random shells scattered. I personally thought it looked nice-especially with the blue walls and white trim.

OP's carpet picture looks terrible.

We're staying there next weekend for a couple nights. I'll be sure to check these sample areas out.

I hope it's not plain carpet. My grandkids would move from element to element. Such as stop at the blue flower (or whatever).

Yes! This is what I saw and agree. I think it looks great! Love the blue as it reminds me of water.

This looks great. I love the theming. I remember when the Boardwalk carpet actually looked like a boardwalk. I miss it.
