Sometimes during hurricanes, I've heard of resorts being in "lockdown", where guests can roam the building, but not leave the building. At BCV, technically you go outside to go to BC Marketplace or to the resort lobby. So are the guests at BCV left without food, unlike the BC guests? If that's the case, I think I'll buy a couple things when I get to BCV at the beginning of the week just in case. I get very cranky if I'm hungry!

We were staying in the Villas during Charlie and were able to go back and forth until the eye of the storm was hitting. I was trying to refill my mug and the door from the villas area where you enter near the store was sandbagged. I was told to go back to the room. We had already eaten at the Cape May Cafe. They were also offering brown bag meals for those who wanted them instead.
The next day things were pretty normal except the pool opened late since there was debris from the trees to be cleaned up and the buses ran late.

It really depends. There will be bands of storm before the eye comes over. At times you might not want to go outside due to heavy intense rain or wind.

However if it gets to the point that Disney is not allowing you outside, you will also not be allowed to be anywhere but your room whether you are in the Villas building or the main building.

But definitely if there is any chance of storm, get supplies before they are all gone.

Conveniently, there's a fallout shelter located under the quiet pool (left over relic from the cold war days). We duck in at the first sign of lightning.
