BCV during Food & Wine?

I'm thinking of a girls' trip to BCV next year that will probably have to fall during F&W. Is there any time that's a little slower than others during that period? We would want a 2BR Sunday-Thursday nights, and I can book at 11 months.

I would try to plan it for a little later in November or early December, but no one in my group is going to want to be away from home anywhere near the holidays.

BCV will be full during that whole period, so it's good that you can book at 11 months! Weekends are very very crowded in Epcot!

We're going with family after F&W but before Thanksgiving this year. We want to experience the Christmas holiday things, including the castle lights at MK. Perhaps it will be less crowded then. We're staying at BCV, so I'll have an idea in November as to the general crowds at that time.

usually f&w runs from October to mid November. I would try and go in October sometime...even that is a long shot though.

Hi: We did a ladies only Food & Wine trip and loved it. It was about the second week in October. Crowds were not too bad during the week. We had a lot of fun drinking, eating, and drinking our way around Epcot and then walking back to the rooms. We'll be doing a family trip (17 of us) 10/1-10/7 this year so we'll see how crowded that time will be. Have fun!

Are the Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving? I'd love to see that! It's possible I could talk my girls into early November.

They do begin decorating the resorts before Thanksgiving. VWL seems to be one of the first decorated. DH's birthday is November 17th and it's usually decorated by that time.

This year, they are having MVMCP (beginning Nov. 10th) and the Osborne lights (November 12th) before Thanksgiving. My DDiL is a nurse and cannot take time off between Thanksgiving and Christmas and so, we're going beginning November 14th. (I already made ADR's for 1900 Park Fare for DH's birthday! )

DH and I saw Cinderella's castle decked out with the icicle lights last year, and we just can't wait until the DGC see how pretty it all is.

I wouldn't go expecting to see too many decorations for Christmas while F&W is still going on. However, we were in WDW last Halloween, and already the Christmas tree in front of then MGM was up! It probably wasn't lit, we only went past it in daylight!

Literally, when F&W is over the Christmas decorating goes ahead full steam. We were at BWV's one year for the last weekend of F&W and into the next week. One evening went to bed with impatiens planted in the Boardwalk lawn area (forget what it is called) and the next morning the flowers were poinsettias. Now we did sleep in, but the change was amazing !

If you're booking at 11 months out, you shouldn't have a problem booking BCV. We usually do that for F&W. Unfortunately, we also end up looking at either Columbus Day or Jersey Week (pre-Veteran's Day) because we need the extra day the holiday gives us. Other times would be better if you have the opportunity.

Forget waiting until F&W is over for Christmas - the Epcot tree went up on November 1 last year. Took them longer to set up the lights and other things - but on Oct. 31, no tree. On November 1, bam, there was a tree.

MVMCP starts on November 10 this year. MK will probably be fully decorated before that. F&W ends on November 9.
