The great thing about BCV was the short walk to Epcot! That was the only day we were able to get up early enough to get to the park before opening. It took about 5 minutes to walk to the World Showcase entrance, then another maybe 10 minutes to get to the other side of Epcot. We started at Mission Space, got a fast pass, then went to Test Track and waited in line (20 minute wait, maybe). So we were able to get both major rides done early. We don't visit World Showcase because I have young kids and they are more interested in rides and shows, so we were finished with everything we wanted to do at Epcot by about 2:30 so we took the monorail over to MK.
MK was very crowded, especially near Splash Mountain. We didn't get a chance to ride it because the wait was so long and the fastpass return time was WAY later and I didn't want to 'waste' my fastpass. But, once we got away from that area, it wasn't too bad. We left the park around 8:00ish, took the monorail back to Epcot, and walked back to BCV. It took a little while, but it was a nice night and we were in no hurry. Our friends that were staying at All Starts walked with us and joined us for dinner at ESPN CLUB and again had a great meal!
Tuesday was MGM and Wednesday was a day off. We spent Wednesday afternoon at SAB, which is reason enough to stay at BCV! Even though there were no pool chairs open, there were always chairs and tables at Hurricane Hannas so we parked our stuff there (one of us was generally always at the table) snacking and/or drinking. (Pop also...not just alcohol!!)
We met with our friends and had dinner at Cape May. It was so fantastic, I made my husband take me back again on Thursday night! We did not take the kids (I have a high school daughter who stayed in the room with them) so it was nice and relaxing both nights. They DO have kid stuff on the buffet if your kids don't like the clambake stuff, but it was not worth it for me to pay 15.00 for my kids to eat chicken nuggets and hot dogs!
We went to Disney Quest on Friday. It was ok, but I don't think we'll go back. We did get discounted tickets at ticketmania through mousesasvers so we saved 50.00 on admission, but I still don't think it was worth it for us. I think if my little ones were older it may have been better.
We checked out of BCV on Friday and into CB because I didn't want to rent the ton of points the weekend nights cost. Big mistake! Even though I got CB for 116.00/night through reservationsystem.com, after tipping bell services and going through the hassle of packing up our stuff and having it moved, it was NOT worth the money we saved. CB WAS great, but coming from BCV, it was a letdown.
If we had done CB first, I would say the pool was wonderful and I really liked the food court (I thought it had a wide variety of foods and I didn't think they were too overpriced). The room was nice, the grounds were beautiful and we were close enought to Old Port Royale to walk (we were in Trinidad North).
But, since we were 'used to' the BCV, it was a bit of a letdown.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are now looking into becoming DVC members. We vacation every year (every other year at Disney) and don't plan on changing that for a long time, seeing as we have little kids. So, it seems a good choice for us to join.
Thanks for taking the time to read my long, boring report! Feel free to ask any questions!!!
