My brother just called me from BCV. I had reserved a 2 bedroom, 2 queen for him many months ago. I called MS a few times to verify that this was truly reserved. Every time they told me yes. He didn't get one. He got a dedicated 2 bedroom but it has a queen plus sofabed in the 2nd bedroom. He is disappointed but okay with that. FYI.

I am on a waitlist for a dedicated 2 br with 2 queens in July. If I get this and I do not get the 2 queens in it, I will have a problem with them. This is the only reason I will change from a lock out 2 bedroom I have now. MS said that is on my request, so I will hold them to it. If they can't guarantee it, they shouldn't tell you they can.

Everything you ask for is a request, not a guarantee. At least he got the dedicated. :)

Is it listed as 2Q on your confirmation? It is my understanding that 2 bed 2Queen is a guarantee and a booking category. We booked a 2Q dedicated in 2003 for our first visit to BCV and that is what we received. It was listed that way on my confirmation. I would definitely call MS and find out how they booked the unit if it was not on your conf. If it was, they most likely had an issue but it should still be a guarantee. This is the first time I have heard that it is a request.

From my understanding, the ded. 2 bdrm w/2 queens at BCV is a room type not a request. MS books that type of room. Now it may be that the front desk doesn't look at it the same way. Someone else mentioned not getting the room as well, so I wonder what is happening. I know that others have sent emails verifying the 2 queen reservation so that they would have it in writing at check-in.

They don't list it on the confirmation anymore. This leaves the person checking in with nothing to back up what they are saying. They probably stopped printing it so the front desk could have more leeway in room assignments.

This is bad news, we don't arrive next trip until after 4 pm. I assume we might have a problem getting our 2 queen room. I have 4 kids, and we really prefer that layout! (4 teenagers)

Oh well, a day at BCV is alot better than a day in NJ, no matter what the room!

In all honesty my brother did not question the CM checking him in. He just assumed that was the type of room he was getting. If you really need 2 queens, I think you should double check with the desk to make sure that is what you are getting. Although I think he got the sofabed since no 2 queens were left. Also he checked in around 4 PM in January. So I would be worried during high season.

I reserved a 2 bedroom dedicated villa with 2 queens. I was told that it was a reservation, not a request. When I checked in on 1/21 my room wasn't ready but I was told I would be getting 2 queens in the second bedroom. When we got to our room it only had one queen and a pullout. I was told there was nothing left. The manager ended up sending up a queen sized mattress and we put it on the open pullout. It worked out okay in the end.

call MS!!!!

both the BC and WL treat BCV and VWL like they are part of the their resort.

another words putting the paying guests in the better rooms.....

start complainting to MS and DVC about the way DVC members are treated here PLEASE!!!!

The only other thing I can think of is that a 2BR-2Q room went out of inventory for rehab. That stuff can happen.

In July when I got my confirmation for my upcoming May trip...it wasn't listed.

I called and they said...yes..we have the 2Bdrm-2queens. We don't put it on the confirmations anymore.
It is a posted room selection and IS guaranteed. :thumbsup2

We will see...better be that way!!

If I remember correctly a two bedroom with two queens is listed as "Two Bedroom" on the confirmation. I think it is listed as something else if you have a 2 bedroom dedicated without the two queen beds. Anyone have their confirmation handy or can look online and see whats listed?

They no longer list the 2 Bedroom 2 Queen on the confirmation. All 2 Bedrooms only say 2 Bedroom.

The 2 Bedroom 2 Queen is a reservation not a request. This means you should get this room unless it was taken out of the inventory for some reason or else someone came down and stomped their feet and got moved. (which really makes me mad if that was the case)

The 2 Bedroom 2 Queens at BCV CAN NOT be reserved by cash paying guests. They are not included in the 4% inventory.

I used to pay cash for Friday nights, but was told that the 2B 2Q room at BCV could not be reserved for cash, only points. So I am now borrowing and using those points to specifically secure that type of room. It better not be a just a request.

Just adding to the chorus of agreement, we just waitlisted (and got) an additional day for our 2 BR 2 QB reservation at BCV... The only reason we had to go on the waitlist for the additional day was that at the time they didn't have a 2 QB room availabke. They had other 2 BRs available for that night, but not one with 2 Queen Beds. The CM said that if I wanted to stay in the same room, they had to waitlist for a 2 QB dedicated room to open up. Now... Only time (and more reports here on the Boards) will tell, but the way the process worked for us in this case implies that it is a specific reservation category.

Don't get me started! Right now because of uninformed DVC member services we are moving three times to three different kinds of 2-bedrooms. I am completely disgusted with their level of knowledge as we booked these rooms at the seven month window and all this could have been avoided if I had just talked to someone who knew what they were doing. We only have six days left before the wait list expires. I can't think of anywhere else where you would call a hotel daily at seven months out and end up with three different rooms for an eight day stay. I have not had good experiences booking large family trips with DVC ever and I consider them to be quite inept. Sorry about the vent - it is just that we are travelling with four children in this suite alone and one will only be a month old. Really hoping for some Disney magic to come through at this time.

Since I have a 2 bedroom 2Q reservation, and it doesn't list it that way, I will be calling MS in the morning to make sure. I booked at the 11 month window, day by day to make sure since there 7 of us going. We will see what they say.

Did you know when you booked that the same room wasn't available for all the dates? Do you have 3 different reservation numbers?
