BCV 1 Br - AVAILABLE Oct 9 to 16!

OK, I had to waitlist Oct 8th for BCV yesterday, but just got off the phone and successfully switched from Kidani to BCV for a 1 br from Oct 9 to 16! MS thought I have a very good chance to have the 1 night wait list come through!
Very excited to know that at the very worst, I'll have to live out of the suitcase for 1 day and enjoy the awesome Kidani pool, water play area and wildlife...oh the torture!

Good for you. I know you fretted over this yesterday. Good luck on getting your 1 day waitlist. Generally the 1 day waitlist do the best!

That's great news....we've done a switch after one day when our waitlist didn't come through....and it's not bad living out of a suitcase for the 1st night...

I want a 1BR at either BCV or BWV for Oct. 15-18...my birthday is the 16th!

But, I *need* a value studio at AKV for the 13th-15th or I won't have enough points for a 1BR at BWV/BCV.

If BCV has a 1BR available, I think I may get lucky and BWV will have one too!

Hi, I was wondering... how did you find out your wait list came through? I just hung up and had to wait list a 1 BR at the BVC for Oct 9th. Did you call member services or did they call you? This is frustrating... I can't believe the entire BCV is sold out for Oct 9th!!

It's Columbus Day Weekend...I'm surprised there was any availability at the 7 month window. Good luck on your waitlist. Hopefully BCV owners are also changing their reservations today and it will open up for you.

My wait list has not come through yet. I am only wait listed for Oct 8th...I did that yesterday at 9 am.
This morning I called at 9 am and they had Oct 9th to the 16th available...so they switched those days over for me - they must have booked up after I called.
At this point I have the 8th at Kidani and the 9th to the 16th at BCV.
Call tomorrow at 9AM SHARP! and try to get the 10th on....then you'll only be wait listed for 1 day - which gives you much better odds!
BTW, they will send you an e-mail when your wait list comes through, but according to others, it will post to your DVC member vacation details a few hours before you receive the e-mail.

Yet another sign that Disney/DVC is going to be slow this year with bookings.
Columbus weekend + Food and Wine. This week was unheard of
in the past for getting waitlist to come through.
Im happy for the OP.

Another reported getting a beach club at 7 months in October without waitlisting. Lets hope this becomes the norm. I hated the times when I couldnt get into the beach club, or anywhere for that matter except
SSR or OKW.

OMG!! I called today and MS said that there is ONE value studio left for October 13 & 14!! Fingers crossed that it is still available on Sunday when my 7 month window opens. I will be on the phone at 8:59am...hitting redial!!! I have to work until 5am so I will be setting a bunch of alarms!

After that, I'll need pixie dust for Tuesday when I call to book the 15-18th in the 1BR. I am leaning towards BWV, but maybe I'll try BCV first, just to see if I can get it.

so if you waitlist, do they automatically change your ressie, or do they have to confirm with you? What if you waitlist several resorts, do they switch you to whatever comes up first or by your first choice? What if you get your second or third choice, do you still remain on the waitlist for your 1st and 2nd choice?

DH & I own at BCV and were in WDW over Pres Week and on a whim, decided to do F&W at BCV for Columbus Day weekend. We went back to our room, checked the laptop and the airfare was great so we booked it and called MS the next day never expecting to Not get a studio at BCV as the 7th mo window didn't start yet. Well, you guessed it, there were no studios available so we took a 1 BR. If we like doing F&W you can bet we'll book at the 11 mo window next time.
