I have no resort recommendations, but would say that the energy at WDW at New Year’s time is glorious, and then you’d follow that by lower crowd levels for the rest of your time. For that reason, I’d reconsider changing your dates. As others have said, there are no true down times, so consider choosing the one where you would get to enjoy the end of the Christmas frivolity, and then the days when lots of those folks have to go back to school or work. Just a thought.
