Would you stay in a one bedroom villa at the BC or at a monorail resort if you were taking a 2 yo to Disney? We took DD at 6 months and stayed at the Poly. Wonderful Trip! The only problem was that she went to sleep by 8pm and we had to sit in the room and be quiet not to wake her. This time I thought I was being so smart and got us a one bedroom at the BC. Now I am wondering if I should be closer to the MK. What do you think? I think I will really enjoy the extra space in the villa, but I know we will be spending a good deal of time at the MK.
Thanks!

We are DVC members so we have stayed at BCV & BWV. Our twins were 2 during one of our visits and they LOVED the BC pool SAB. They played on the sandy beach that is part of the children's pool. They also loved the pirate ship slide. On the front of the ship is a small pool that has a little slide with it. They allow the kids to wear arm floats on the slide.

Beside the great pool, the BCV are wonderful for the space. It is nice to put the kids to bed and be able to stay up. We also like to use the kitchen for breakfast, snacks and to keep drinks.

The location is good too because we tend to go off-season when the MK closes early. EPCOT is usually open the latest and we can walk over at night if we want. It also makes seeing the night shows easier like Fantasmic & Illuminations because you can walk home. The BW is another fun place to visit at night.

We never had a problem getting to the MK from this location. We like to take the bus over to the MK and then ride the monorail back to Epcot. We then hit the EPCOT activities on our way back to the BC.

Have a great trip.

Thanks TerriBelle! You sure know a lot about the BC Villas. Can you suggest a room area that we should request? I think I would prefer one with a balcony. Also, how is the jacuzzi in the room? If DH and I sleep in the bedroom and have DD in the living room can we use the jacuzzi without waking her?

I don't know that much about the room locations. We stayed on an end that looked at the lobby. On the DVC board there are people that know more about room numbers.

The Bathroom has two doors - one from the MBR and one from the other room so you can use the jacuzzi without waking her. There is a half wall between the jacuzzi and the master bedroom that has shutters. These can be closed or opened. I believe the Disney website has floorplans of the rooms and WWW.wdwig.com has photos of the rooms.

Gets my vote...and yes, we own there;) ;)

We stayed at the Polynesian, and had a view of the Castle...and LOVED it!!

BUT!!!

The one bdr, with the washer/dryer, full kitchen, balcony on every room, two tv's, DVD player, and SAB!!!

I could go on and on!!

:sunny:

You hit the nail right smack dab on the head....with little kids its all about being balt to close the bedroom door! Stay at BCV.
