BC standard room still have extra bed for the 5th person?

We stayed there about 9 years ago and there were daybeds or something like fultons in each room. Do they still ahve them. I have seen phots of the rooms with them in there however the info here on DIS says that they sleep 4 only and a 5th with crib?

I was under the impression that most deluxes sleep 5 people.

A sofa sleeper and a daybed are 2 different things. A sofa sleeper pulls out into a full bed, the villas have them. A daybed you just lay on, which is what the BC has. I would confirm that it is guaranteed.

I stand corrected I did also refer to it as a futon in which the the back lays down. That is how the extra sleeping area was when we last stayed there. Just trying to make sure hat we could accomodate 5 people.

Just so you know what you are getting. The day beds at the Beach Club have a solid wooden back that does not lay down. The ones you describe are available at other Disney resorts but not the Beach Club.

Here is a photo of their daybed. They are not as comfortable as the futon type as the sleeping area is not as large.

You remove the back cushions and sleep on the bottom ones.

Thanks for the photo Sammie. I have seen those. I have also read a few thread in which other Dis members children up to over 6 ft have slept on them and said it was fine. The memer of our party who will sleep here is a hard sleeper. I am sure he will be OK. Thanks again.
