We have a standard view room at the BC and I was wondering where we should request our room to be at? Is there a view of ECOPT from standard? What floor should we request? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :thumbsup2

There are some standard rooms with a view of the back of Epcot. You can see some of the higher effects of Illuminations from them although there are lots of tree there too. But we had rooms there a couple times years ago and loved it.

Perhaps requesting a room closest to Epcot would work.:confused3

Hope this helps you; it sure helped me!

Those are very helpful! Where did you find those?

(Just FYI for others - some of the info is out of date -- it says they might make the 5th floor CL again in the future - it already is -- and it lists some prices on it as well that may no longer be accurate. But for room #s and locations - it's a great resource).

Yes, thanks for pointing that out. I had forgotten about some of the outdated info. Someone else had given a link to this site on another thread and I have found it quite interesting and informative.

We booked a standard room. At the time of my reservation the only special request I made was for a refridge. Is it too late to request a room with a view of Epcot or another view? How do I go about requesting a room? I am not super picky but I don't want a view of the roof :sad2: as I read somewhere! At ASM we had a ground floor room and I loved that! Do they take requests for ground floor rooms? Is there a way to aviod the roof view rooms?

Any help would be appreciated.:teacher:

My Beach Club standard view was of trees about 5 inches from my balcony. They were that close! The foilage has really grown up around the backside of the building, and the view really was non-existant. We just stared at trees, and could see the sidewalk below, not much else! Sort of claustrophobic actually, with the trees creating a barrier of sorts. We could barely see the fireworks at night through all the branches, as we were on the 2nd floor. We really didn't use the balconies at all. No reason to, with nothing to see. :confused3 We were in room 2542 or very close to that.

Well, hope everyone else's standard rooms are better than what we got!
