Hi all~

We are in our last night of our Disney Vacation. I am going to give a quick run down of the resort rooms and try and do a TR when we get home. We arrived Monday, 1/7 and stayed in the BC for six nights in a water view room. We had connecting rooms with my mom and bro. We were in room 2615 and 2617. Nice view and full balcony. Close to elevator and main lobby.

Moved on January 13th to Poly Club Level Lagoon View for three nights. Connecting rooms again. Our room had a good view, but castle partly blocked by a palm tree. Mom and bro had a great view of the castle. They were in room 2508 and we were 2509 (no balconies) but on same floor as concierge lounge and not too far down the hall.

Today we moved to the GF for our last night because we weren't able to stay in the Poly because they were booked. We booked a theme park view and when we went to check in.....they told us we were upgraded to Concierge level!!! I can hardly believe it. We thought we would lose the theme park view with the upgrade, but we have a dead on view of the castle from our balcony. I took a pic with a disposable camera, so hopefully it will turn out and I can figure out how to post them. Our digital camera battery died and I forgot the charger!

Sadly, back to reality tomorrow. Cold and raining in southern NJ for our arrival.

how can i get a free upgrade like you? any secret? anything i can do now to help my chances? thanks!

was it a pain changing hotels or worth it? any advice on this? thanks! enjoy!!!!

It was amazingly simple. I would do it again in a heartbeat. When we were ready to leave 1st resort we called bell services and told them that we needed to have luggage transferred to the 2nd resort. They came up and tagged it and took it away. When we got into our room at the 2nd resort, we called that bell services and said that we had luggage transferred and they brought it up if it had arrived. Luggage transfer generally takes place between 1 and 3 in the afternoon.

I asked the girl that took us up to the concierge floor and she said it was pure luck depending on what the needs were in the hotel at that time, who had booked what etc. I would guess that you are much more likely to get upgraded on a shorter stay than a longer one. Our stay was only one night at the GF because it was an add on and the Poly was booked for that additional night.
