Thoughts on which is better for

Two adults and no kids.
Only going for Food and Wine Festival. Will only go to Epcot.
Want quality time at hotel, when there and expect to spend most late morning and early afternoon at pool area.

Going first week of October.

Swan - $245/nt incl tax
BC - $250/nt incl tax

Swan - heavenly bed (important quality)
BC - unknown

Swan - nice pool area
BC - great pool area

Swan - points for Starwood Preferred Guest
BC - no similar benefit

Any other pros and cons?

BC to me has more ambience and beds are comfortable (don't know if as comfortable as swan). BC has great service & restaurants, don't like Swan's as well. Swan has more of a "corporate" clientele, B/C is more casual. Hope this helps.

You said that you are going for the Food and Wine festival so maybe this isn't an issue but one thing we loved at the Swan was the great selection of restaurants between the Swan and Dolphin. The dining options at BC are more limited. Also there is no bed like the Swan's heavenly bed. :sunny:

Swan...Swan....Swan...

Heavenly Bed....ahhhhh. Especially since this sounds to be a romantic trip. The pool is great as well.....but breakfast in bed at the swan on a late lazy morning.

I can't say enough great things about the swan.....

no matter what you choose you will be great but the few extra feet you walk to Epcot will be so worth it just to know that the heavenly bed will be awaitng your return.

Oh by the way did I say SWAN. ;)

If you can get a better rate at the Swan, stay there. If you can't, go with BC. Go to dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and allearsnet.com to see what kind of rates you can find. I think Allears has a rate of $189 for that time period.

THE SWAN!!!!
The beds are wonderful and between the Swan and Dolphin and the amenities between the two it's perfect for you guys! The pool is fabulous and even though it's shared by the 2 hotels it's so huge there is always room. The quiet pool at the Swan is always empty and very peaceful if you want to get away from the excitement at the main pool. You can walk to Epcot and it will only take a few mins. and the walk is very enjoyable and if not, you can always take the boat.
I prefer the Swan because it's a smaller hotel and more quiet. The Dolphin attracts alot of the convention people and don't get me wrong, the Swan does too, but business people tend to go more to the Dolphin.

We stayed at the Swan once for all of the same reasons. It was very nice, but I really missed the 'disney' feeling. I think point is really something to consider, though.
