We are planning our first trip with our son (he'll be 14 months when we travel). My husband and I always stay at the Beach Club. We love the location, pool, boardwalk, and Beaches and Cream!. Since we will be spending most of our time at the Magic Kingdom, would it be better to stay at the Polynesian? We will probably rent a car. Thanks.

We stayed at both of those hotels on our last trip and if I was spending most of my time at the MK I would want to be at the Poly. We did not have a rental car and used disney transportation and when traveling from BC to the MK we all felt like it was taking FOREVER! In the past we have never complained about the buses but this past October from the BC we felt like everything was taking a lot longer. The one time we decided to time our trip back from the MK to the BC it was 25minutes and that was the only time the bus actually pulled up just as we arrived at the bus stop. Otherwise we did love being able to walk into Epcot and catch a boat to the studios.

Have a great trip!

Hi there,

My 2 cents is that since so much for that age group is at the MK any monorail resort would probably be the best choice.

That said, to be honest, the Polynesian is my families absolute favorite resort. The feel of the place is so charming & warm. But, where kids are concerned, the transportation can't be beat. If you take a look at a resort map and get a room between the Ceremonial house and the TTC you'll have easy monorail access to both the MK and Epcot, not to mention being able to resort hop around the lake via either the monorail between GF, Poly, Cont, or via boats to the WL & Ft.W for the Hoop Dee Do & pony rides if thats on your schedule.

Have fun whatever you choose:goodvibes
