We're booked right now for BC hotel for May. Since I don't like to be squished in 1 room - we book 2 rooms so of course it is very pricey. I'm considering changing to BCV. I understand we can use SAB which between the pool and the walking distance to Epcot, that is why we chose BC. So I have a few questions if anyone can help!

Where are the villas located in relationship to the hotel? Is it still an easy walk to get to SAB, Epcot and the Boardwalk?

True that we can still get room service from BCV?

How are the views from the villas?

Are they all ground level or if multi-level, how high and are there elevators?

When booking, how do you give preferences for location or views or whatever else is important and typically are they honored?

How is the transportation to other parks?

Any other info is appreciated as well!

location - over behind the BC units closer to the parks. yes it is a very easy walk maybe a couple of minutes more than BC.

You can definitely get room service~

views - this can be difficult - this was not a planned resort - but an add on - the views aren''t the best. But I love my view of Spaceship Earth - others had hated the same view.

they are the same height as BC - 5 floors and yes there are elevators (several elevators all over the resort)

I have only stayed once - and all my request were honor - view of WS, high up as possible - I got a fifth floor view of Spaceship Earth

you can walk or boat to Epcot and Studios - other transportation is by bus to the MK and AKL. However if you like to walk - you can walk through Epcot to get the monrail to the MK. all the Epcot resorts use to share a bus to the other parks. But lately WDW has listen to complaints and now during the busy hours each resort has its own bus. During non-busy times they still share. So the transportation is greatly improved. the bus that BCV uses is the bus that BC uses.

this is a beautiful resort - with lots of little things - look for the Mickey's....

The villas are just another wing on the hotel, the same number of floors high. Although as a DVC member you get less frequent maid service, otherwise you get the same amenities such as SAB, room service, transportation, park access and so forth. The views are nothing special, and some people feel it's not worth specifying much more than non-handicapped and non-smoking (or the reverse on either of these as appropriate) when you make your reservation.

Ah, but the rooms themselves! In our opinion DVC rooms are much nicer than regular resort rooms: kitchenettes in all the standard rooms (called studios by DVC); smallish but full kitchens, washers and dryers, and jacuzzis in the 1- and 2-bedroom suites.

Where are the villas located in relationship to the hotel? Is it still an easy walk to get to SAB, Epcot and the Boardwalk? - They are to the left of the entrance. Very easy access. Not much further than the rooms at the BC.

True that we can still get room service from BCV? Yes.

How are the views from the villas? Pool, Epcot/back road/Woods

Are they all ground level or if multi-level, how high and are there elevators? Two elevators and 5 floors.

When booking, how do you give preferences for location or views or whatever else is important and typically are they honored? You ask for woods or pool view. You can't request Epcot view anymore. They are honored if they have them available but are not guaranteed.

How is the transportation to other parks? Use same buses as the BC.

Others have answered most of your questions. The fact is the BCV are just another wing added to the BC, they use all of the same amenites. I have a question of my own. Were you considering getting a two bedroom or a one bedroom? And how many are in your party. We are a family of 4 and we are very spoiled. We also don't like be squished in one room so I do understand what you are saying, we normally stay in a 2 bedroom Villa or if we are not at a DVC resort we get 2 regular rooms. The 2 bedroom Villa is much nicer. You will have a Living Room/Kitchen area a Master Bedroom with a king size bed and a 2nd bedroom with a either 2 queen beds or 1 queen bed and 1 sleeper sofa. But, the cost for a 2 bedroom will be either slightly less than 2 regular rooms at the BC or slightly more depending on the season if you are going through CRO to make your reservation. (I still think it is worth it) If you are renting points from a member you could possible save money.

Thanks for all of the info!

Terry, we want to get a 2 bedroom. I'm working with someone to rent points but the dates may not work out. May apparently is a busy month this year.

You'll really enjoy a 2 berdoom over two adjoining rooms. Just don't plan on havung much of a view, and you'll be very pleased.

I agree that you will love the 2 bedroom. Hopefully the dates will come through for you! Having the extra space really does make up for not having a lagoon view!

May is the new celebration start date. DVC has told all the members about it - through their magazine, email, and their website.
