BC Concierge? Is it worth the extra cost?

WooHoo! The kids have a tournament next summer in Orlando and DH has agreed to a week at the BC!

Now, he doesn't know it but I have been squirreling away $$ for 2 years anticipating a surprise trip to WDW in 2004. So, I'm thinking that maybe I should just take the extra $$ and use it to upgrade up to concierge level for the week. A little pampering would be nice. Especially on the tournament days when all you want to do when it's over is just kick back and relax.

So, for all you BC experts, is it worth it? What kind of pampering can I expect? Do they ever offer AP discounts for concierge? Or is the rack rate the only rate I can expect? Any input would be appreciated.

My DW & I stayed there last Nov. and it was a wonderfully magical trip. The lounge was very nice and we ate breakfast there almost every morning. Being able to get snacks and drinks throughout the day was great, too. The concierge staff were terrific in helping us with tips, ideas, rearranging PS, etc. They even helped us ship some souveniers home. I'd highly recommend it.

If you are really lucky, you'll have Carmen as your mousekeeper. Carmen told me she leaves towel animals and other "surprises" in every room she's assigned, whether there are kids there or not! It was a terrific surprise to come back and find a new "pet" in the room each night -- including one HUGE lobster on our table one day!
