DH-44 (20 something trip!)

Our second day Feb. 9th Friday. Temp. 83 degrees!
My sister and B-in-Law are retired and they Full Time in a luxury 40 Foot Motorhome. This year they are spending the winter months in Florida and this week they are 10 min. away from WDW! We call them up and arrange for them to meet us at the BC. The Concierge CM's gave us 2 extra room card/elevator keys for them to use this day. They arrive by 8:30 am and they love our room! They have been to WDW many, many times but have never stayed at the BC before. We all go to the Concierge Lounge for breakfast. Fresh fruit, coffee, tea, toasted bagels with cream cheese, croissants and doughnuts and so much more! We then get some water bottles and some fresh fruit and they give us a large bag of unopened chips. You see we are going to TYPHOON LAGOON today!
We left the BC at 9:30 and got to Typhoon right after it opened. No lines. My sister decided to by an AP for the water parks since she and her husband LOVE Typhoon and they will be in Florida until April 13th! We found a perfect spot near the wave pool and put on the sunblock and away we went! What a great time we had! We did all the slides except Kowabunga (sp?). The day was perfect we got a nice tan and enjoyed each other's company. We left around 2pm and back to room to take showers and get dressed for our PS at the Cape MAy Cafe Clam Bake!
Since we had some extra time to kill before our 6pm dinner we went to the BC pool before we took our showers. THey loved it and we wnet on the pirate ship slide. The hot tub was great and we spent the whole afternoon just talking and catching up. We went back to the room to get ready and we still had some time to kill so we went to the Concierge lounge and had a few glasses of wine before dinner. I have to tell you the Clam Bake is one of our favorites also and it did not dissappoint. I was looking forward to the freid shrimp on the chidren's menu but alas they had fried fish fingers instead. The manager saw me looking and asked what I needed and I said I really wanted some fried shrimp and he said he would be right back. I sat down adn he brought me over a plate full of fresh, large, fried shrimp! What a great place WDW is! Things like this always happen to us. We get reated like royalty evertime we are there! Now even one better than that....our server was the nicest lady and she remarked how little me and my sister ate and we said we really don't eat too much. Especially since I am a vegetarian...well I don't eat meat or chicken but I do eat dairy. Anyway when she brought us our check she only charged me and my sister for soup and salad which was $10.95. Can you believe it? What a great place WDW is! We tipped her on what it would have cost had she charged us full price and I filled out the card about the excellent service we got by her. On our way out I told the manager how great she was and he said she has been there since day one at the Clam Bake and is their best!
After dinner we walked back to the Concierge for coffee, and cordials and sat around and talked again. We walked my sister and her husband to their car and said goodbye! It was 7:30pm and guess what? The MK was open until 10PM and late night entry that night until 1PM! We decided to drive to the Contemporary and take the walkway to the MK. Wr arrived right before the MSEP and we decided to go on as many rides as we could while people were watching the parade. We walked on PoC and TMR, HM and SM and then our eyes started to close. We decided to stroll back to the CR and go back to our room at the BC. We stopped on our walk to watch the fireworks above the castle and had a lovely magical kiss to end the day! We made it back to the Concierge to get a cordial to take to our room and then we sat on the balcony and watched the people walk by on their way back from EPCOT. The turndown service is lovely also. We had all taken showers and left the bathroom a little messy and they had cleaned it up and put out fresh towels. Also the chocolates and notes on the pillows was a nice touch. We both slept great that night!
Thanks to all who read this and please take the time to respond and let me know! I love to read the comments people make! It helps knowing that you are enjoying reading this as much as I enjoy posting it!
