princess: My family is going for our first Disney trip ever April in to May 2008. We're staying at the BC.

One night my husband & I would like to see the Cirque show solo and maybe dinner too -- but im curious about the child care center & the in room babysitters. I have 4 kids who will be 8, 7, 4 and 2 then. The 2 yr old has to stay in the room...

Basically, I want to know for both the in-room and the center: what do the kids do? whats the center really like? If you used it, what did the kids think? Im assuming Im much better off not having them all in the room for those hours - the older guys would have more freedom in the centr.

If it works out, we may even do a dinner one other night (we NEVER go out solo at home...) but Im a bit nervous and hesitant.

Any info greatly apprciated. Thx in advance!

I'm bumping this up, because I know someone has some answers for you.

We used the child care center at AKL and WL lodge last year and were pleased with both of them. My daughter (5) strongly prefers the kids' clubs to going out to dinner/parks with us. The rooms are like day care centers, kind of. Bright and filled with books, video games, crafts, etc. She got to order her own dinner, which she thought was a big deal. For our next trip, I got her to agree to go to dinner with us twice - ha! She can't wait to go back to the kids' clubs. We haven't used the in-room services, although our last night, we were wishing we had. The little one was just too tired to rouse and get moving. She would have preferred in room on that night.
