BBQ Stations at Copper Creek/VWL?

I have been searching but haven not found any recent posts in the last year.

I have a stay at Copper Creek/VWL later this year and I can't remember were there are grills? I know there used to be several, but seem to remember last time I was there in late last year we couldn't find them. Are the grills still there and where can I find them? Also do you know if they are gas or charcoal?

If anyone is there now do you know if they are allowing us to use them?

they are located in a few spots on both sides of the cabins on the water. They are gas and I believe available to all guests not just the cabin guests but I am not 100%. I also don’t know availability with COVID restriction.

As DVC we have used them and they are great! We were not in a cabin.

There is one grilling area in the cabin area north of the main Lodge that has two grills and a nice covered seating area--it sits roughly halfway between the first dozen cabins on that side. There are two grilling areas south of the main Lodge. One is close to the pool and is a single grill, and the second one is down close to the cabin parking area and basketball goal. They are open to everyone.

We are staying at a Hilton Vacation Club property right now and all the grills are off limits due to COVID. I expect the same at Disney for some time.

The grills at DHHIR are open, though I can't speak to the ones at Copper Creek.

Interesting. We are on HH as well, at Hilton ocean oaks. Well if I trust any business to properly clean and allow for it, it’s Disney.

Well, they aren't gas grills, rather open-air that need charcoal. Perhaps that's the reason?

Yeah. Nothing to open and “touch” I guess. Even the gas grills should be fine with 500 degree flame on them . Perhaps it’s more about the crowds it would create.

Were they ever closed? I've never heard that they were, and have always see people using them.

We have used the one near the quiet pool by the cabins. It is gas fired.

There are a few (2, 3?) along the cabin walkway. They are open for business, first come first served. Gas grills and VERY nice areas to use them in. Great for a small party/celebration!

Yes, guests can come to the resort. We’ve had guests many times. BBQ, dinners, etc.
