Have an 11 year old daughter that is showing interest in going to the BBB on our trip. I know she is too big for a princess look. Anyone have pics of girls a bit older than 8 that have gone there? Checked out just about all the other photos and the web sites but only seemed to find younger girls. :confused3 Thanks :goodvibes

My daughter is nearly 11 (the one in the back obviously), and she did BBB for the P&PP. Probably not exactly what you're looking for because she went as a pirate, but she definitely had a great time at BBB and she wasn't the only girl that age there. I think your daughter would be fine whether she picks a princess outfit or if she just gets the beauty work and wears her own clothes. My daughter loved the experience and wants to go again.

We did the pirate & princess too-of course if my daughter were to dress for the occasion she would be the pirate!!!:lmao:
Thanks for the picture. I think she might like something like that- the only ones I really saw were girls w/ their hair up in a bun-looked cute-but not my daughters thing. I'll show her the pic & let her decide. Thanks again!!!:goodvibes

They do a Hannnah Montana make-over too. It has a wig, t-shirt, and a mic I think. Make sure you bring jeans or shorts and not a dress.

We saw some pics of the Hannah Montana make over but she already has a wig here & doesn't really want the mic:confused3
I think she would like to have some sort of princess look just not a bun-but that is all I'm finding...hate to spend too much just to have her hair in a bun.
Maybe some sort of updo? Not sure if they do that??
Thanks for the info on HM!

Our daughter didn't care to do the BBB because she felt a little old. We took her to the barbershop at the entrance to MK. She got a reallly great haircut, the woman put her hair up and put all kinds of sprinkles. There was a boy about the same age he had gotten lots of color for his hair. As we were leaving there was a group of teenagers who apparently come every year waiting at the door.

Best thing about it; it cost $15.

Everywhere we went she was asked about her hair. If you go there they close around 5pm and it is first come first serve. We went early in morn and there was an hour long line. We waited and went later and walked right in.

I am also bringing my daughter and she will be 10 years old. I can't seem to find it right know but there is a post that has pictures of three different hair styles she can pick from. I will try to find it and post it later.

Thanks so much...I would like for her to find a style before I make an appt only for her to say she doesn't want it done when we get there:confused:

Just wondering when you last went-I read somewhere that they no longer do that b/c of BBB:confused3

We were there last thanksgiving. The barbershop sevices all ages. One of the barbers, a woman, told me she has several clients who she has cut hair for every year. One man in there told us he has come in there on everyone of there trips since WDW opened.

It would be very sad if it closed. But, I don't see that happening.

My youngest has the fairy tale princess on the picture above (upswept bun & tiara)

My 11 year old has the Disney Diva - extensions with natural coloured hair + some 'Mickey' extensions

My 16 year old niece has the pirate princess - like the diva but with black/white extensions with skulls

The other style is the disco diva - which has rainbow coloured extensions

I have close ups of each if the above pictures were of no use to you :confused3

I second the barbershop. We went in Dec. and my 3 girls got updos, colored gel, pixie dust (confetti) for only $7.50 each and I thought it looked even cooler than BBB. All day people were asking them about it. My girls were 8,13,17 at the time.

Pics would be great if they are handy-but if it's too much work don't bother.
I really thought that the barbershop was no longer doing anything for the girls b/c of bbb-I think that is a walk in type place:confused3
Thanks
