No way my girls could have slept on their hair and if they had it would have been destroyed anyway. It was totally fine on rides though. We just booked for august () and DD6 now knows about BBB - will the hair last until it’s wahed sort of thing?
Keep checking. You can also a private inroom version (not Disney) where a former/current cast member comes. They are cheaper than BBB.Thanks all, of course the morning I really want it for isn’t available - should I keep checking back? It’s in later August
We did this with oldest for sure, with this next one, we are in a bit of a different place, so are saving for some of these big one-time treats. We are from Canada also, so add 30% to the prices, ugggI know that's a super cool experience and I wish I could have afforded it when my 3 girls were little. But, I couldn't, or rather we chose other things to spend the money on and I did it myself. We also brought our own princess dresses. It wasn't that hard to do their hair--my girls liked having long curls, with sparkles, and one girl liked also having a little bun on top with a little diamond crown around it. They were all gymnasts so I was used to fixing their hair so it wouldn't move and I think that's also why they preferred not having it in a bun as that's what they had to do at gym meets
Anyway, just mentioning that if you can't or don't want to spend the money on BBB, you can do a lot yourself. You can also buy diamond tiaras for very little money and bring them with you.
Don't get me wrong, I think the BBB experience would be super cool, but it may not be in everyone's budget, especially if you have multiple girls like I did!
I was just about to say this! Our daughter is REALLY into dress up and I have tons of princess style dresses I have ordered off Amazon(that are sold for 2-3x the price on other websites and are 100% he same) all for less than $50 and most around $20-30. They are way better quality than the Disney ones I purchased directly & was actually disappointed with TBH. We are most likely doing BBB but there is no way I will be purchasing a dress & will be bringing our own. Not just because of money but I can just get a better quality one for over 1/2 the price difference. I fully understand and don't complain about the 'Disney tax' on everything but there is ways to skim off some $$$ and still have a great experience.I know that's a super cool experience and I wish I could have afforded it when my 3 girls were little. Both my kids had it done last November. We just booked for august () and DD6 now knows about BBB - will the hair last until it’s wahed sort of thing?
The first time my DD did it, she wanted the tight bun. It was tighter back then than they do now I think- and I'm not sure they used the donuts back then- if they did they were the smaller ones. Her appointment was around 10:00 a.m., and she made it through lunch at the castle (WDW), but it was giving her a headache and she wanted it OUT. So, standing in front of the castle waiting for a castle show to start, I pulled it down and brushed it out --- I figured it would be stuck like glue and look awful if I could even get it down and that our pictures the rest of the day would be terrible. I was shocked at how easily it brushed out. It quickly went from hard as a rock to soft with brushing. Her hair actually looked decent when I brushed it out too.I always wonder about brushing that hair style out afterwards?
Glued down hair ?
I guess you have to use a lot of conditioner to rinse it out .
Im glad my granddaughter never asked about this.
