So, what is really included?

I know it includes hair, nails and makeup, along with the princess dress and accessories.

What is included in the accessories though? Is it just the tiara and wand? Does it also include shoes? Or no?

I planned to do the castle package for my girls, but it's killing me that just the dress and the hair, nails and makeup would cost around $130. So are the extra accessories really worth almost $70?

I want this to be extra special and definitely want my girls to be able to pick their dress there....but I'm starting to wonder if it is a total rip off!?

Anyone who know me exactly what we will get, please help!

Thanks :)

We never did the Castle package and have tons of great BBB memories (and photos).

No shoes when we did it last year. We has to buy them for extra.

I think some of the dresses might also have gloves. They come with a big crown too, which is stupid since the hairstyles either don't accommodate it or have a little barrette crown they put in.

Ok, I didn't think the shoes were included...but wanted to be sure, since it might make up for some of the cost! I knew I could do BBB cheaper, but figured the amount paid would at least get me an extra $140ish worth of stuff after hair and nails! $70 dress and $70 worth of accessories.... But it is seeming like it will be less than $70 in accessories... It kills me bc I want them to be able to pick their dress there, but....now I just don't know.

The castle package includes hair,makeup,nails,dress,wand and crown. The price for this package STARTS at $194.00

So...

Crown package (hair, makeup, and nail polish =$59.95 plus tax
Dress = $69.95 plus tax
Wand = $19.95 plus tax
Tiara = $17.95 plus tax

Total purchasing it all separately is $167.80 plus tax.

I was quoted a price of $194.95 plus tax.

I really had my heart set on doing the castle package and letting her pick out her stuff there. However...I also though that while it wouldn't save us any money, that it would pretty much be an equal cost to doing it separately. However....it looks like we would be paying $27.15 more per child (I have 2 daughters) just for the name of that package!?

I realllyyyy want to be convinced to just keep the castle package....but is there really anything more to it than what I just posted!? Anything at all I am missing!?

We never do the dress package at WDW
I prefer to bring a custom dress so DGD is dressed in something different than half the other girls in the Parks. She likes the extra attention the unique dress brings much more than picking one of there

I think I found it...apparently we get the "Imaging Package" with the Castle Package.

Can anyone confirm this? We get some printed photos?

How long does it take to get the photos? Do we get them there right away, or do we have to go somewhere different to pick up?

Where do you find her dresses?! I want something unique for my girl!

I went a few months ago with my DDs and purchased the basic, lowest cost package. It was totally perfect, and by far the best decision for us. I purchased a dress for each of my daughters at the Disney store in advance when they were on sale for $30 each (so ended up saving about $15 dollars on each dress). I concealed them in our luggage, and my daughters had no idea they were with us when we entered the park. When we entered BBB, I quietly told the CM at check-in we had our own dresses to change into we brought with us. The CM said no problem, and escorted us to the changing rooms. When we got the girls in the changing room, I said I needed to ask their Fairy God mothers in training something. I left and brought back the dresses. My DDs were thrilled, and thought it was fantastic!!

You mentioned that a tiara is included in the castle package. Something to consider is that the little bun hair-do comes with a small tiara, and the hairstyle with the puffy hair extensions comes with two glittery Mickey's hair clips. In our case, my daughters did not need an extra tiara.

As for the pictures, we had photo pass so all the pictures from the photo shoot we had following the BBB were included.

Etsy also has a lot of cute unique dresses!

Last time we went we got dresses from the Disney Store and brought them with. We didn't do BBB, but I did my girls hair. Love Disney Store dresses!! However this year I don't want to bring all the dresses we brought last year and I am not sure what character each of my daughters will want to be. So even though I know it's a crazy cost, I decided since it is a one time thing, we would splurge so they could pick out all their stuff and it could be super fun for them. If they for sure had a favorite character/costume, it might have made me decide to do it differently.

I also agree about the tiara. I don't even like the ones they get as part of the castle package! We plan to still have then use the small ones that you can get with the crown package (I assume they will still let us use the smaller tiaras?) and they will bring their bigger tiaras home and use them for playing dress up.

I also wasn't worried about the photo package since we have memory maker...but now that I see those printed pics are part of the huge cost, I want them! Lol....even though I could just print them at home! I just want to know if anyone knows the technicalities of actually getting those printed photos?!

I brought the dress with us. Plus we did it in June so it was crazy hot. Just not fair to maker her walk around in a polyester hot box. The hair lasted for 3 days and then I did my own version a few days with the little crown. Our pics showed up right away in Memorymaker. They turned out great!

Like everything else, you're paying for an experience.

We've done this package 2x and those dresses have held up through everything!

If you're looking for a money savings or even to break even you won't find it. But it's a great experience. Even if you bring your own dress, they'll love it either way. Our photos took maybe 20 min, but we have 2 girls.

Did you get actual copies of the photos? I just noticed printed photos are part of the package.

If so, can you let me know how that worked? Did you get them right then and there? Or was there a wait? If so, how long? Did you have to go to a different location to get the photos? I'm wondering how much time I should expect to wait after getting the photos taken, before getting our physical copies of them.

The photos are next door in the store - I think Castle Couture is what it's called. I can't remember if they took the physical photos away (like everything else) but if they're still doing it we came back with a photo card after doing a few things. We got to see all the photos and pick however many they let you pick. They printed them right there and gave them to us in a folder. We got all the photos on our MM/PP. If they're not doing the prints you'd still get all the digitals on your MM. There is a little counter for the photo prints and all that right next to the photo shoot area.

We had the option of doing pics right away or later. We met Anna and Elsa and then came back because there was a line and we had a FP.

We did the castle package at Disneyland and it was great! it included dress, crown, wand and full makeup/nails/hair and photo package. We have done the basic package before, but knowing that it would be DD last time to do BBB before she aged out we went for the castle package.

The best part was the FGIT was my DDs personal shopper ( I think this may differ at WDW because at DL the princess dress shop is located at the BBB) and was VERY accommodating, offering to let us substitute items. My daughter didn't want a crown or wand so the FGIT offered a glove/purse set or the bow and quiver (my DD was leaning towards Merida at the time, this was at the height of Frozen craziness and she ultimately was lucky enough to get the unobtainable Elsa dress, but that is a whole other fabulous story)

The two times we've done BBB I selected the crown package and bought just the dress as two separate items. That way DD was still able to choose her dress from BBB but I didn't have to purchase the castle package which had a lot of elements we didn't need like tiara, wand and photo package.
