We are taking a trip with our friends and would like to bring our girls to the BBB to get made up like princesses and then take them to CRT. If you have done this, would you suggest taking them to breakfast, lunch or dinner at CRT and what time would you make the BBB reservation?
Thanks for your help! :)

I think it depends on the time of year and the age of the kids. I say that because the BBB look is not all that comfortable, especially if getting dressed up.

We choose both times we did it, to take my daughter to BBB at the castle and then to a special dinner afterward. This way, she had the day in park clothes and felt special getting "ready" for a special dinner and did not have to deal with being uncomfortable all day. If you are set on CRT, you would want to do breakfast or lunch for the character interaction.

There are others who will disagree with me and say that they make a day out of BBB and CRT and try to get the earliest appointment possible so as to have MK to yourself.

I still think alot depends on the age of the children and the weather and what you feel their comfort level will be. Either way it is a great experience that you should definitely do. Good Luck!

The girls will be 3 and 5 and we are goin in Dec. I was thinking of taking them to CRT for lunch. Does Cinderella walk around to the tables at lunch?
I know she doesn't at dinner. If you took them to CRT for a regular lunch time (i.e., noonish), what time would you make the BBB reservation?
I am not worried about getting into the park early that day because we plan
on doing CP on another day and getting in early.

WE did lunch last year and are doing lunch again this year. Last year it was only in Downtown Disney so we went from there to MK. I believe her appt was at 9:30 and lunch was at 12:45. We made it in plenty of time.

This year we are doing BBB in MK at 9:50 with lunch at 12:35. That should be good timing as well. We have the big package too, with the dress and the picture taking. We did last year too and still had plenty of time.

Personally, I loved the lunch. Cinderalla does not walk around at lunch. At least she didn't last year. It did get hot for my DD4 in the afteroon with the dress on, but she would not take it off. We went in April, too, so it was warm. Other than that, it was perfect. That is why we are doing it again this year. And with the one in MK open, it is even more convenient.

with BBB at 10:50 and lunch at 12:10 at the castle. We are only doing the hair package though, the person I made the res with said the nails are only press on and tend to quickly come off and of course you can get dresses cheaper elsewhere... I may still splurge for outfits there, but not sure. THe person I talked to said we would have more than enough time to make lunch...

Press on nails? Urg. I sort of somehow thought they would just paint the girls' own nails?

My DD has an appointment before our CRT reservation...but the more I read, maybe I should cancel this. I don't want her hair to "Hurt" and I don't want her to have extreme makeup...though a little "pixie dust" would be ok. I certainly don't want her to have press on nails. We were already planning on bringing her favorite princess dress from home.

:confused3

her guests downstairs prior to the meal. There are pictures taken and copies of one of the shots is included in your package. There are four characters walking around during your meal. The characters change but usually includes at least a couple of other princesses.

Press on nails? We we did it, they just painted there nails. I wouldn't do the press on's. Maybe that is an option. Last year, they just painted them and they give you the extra polish. With my DD5, I will just tell them i want them painted. Plus, I have never heard of the "hair hurting". What does that mean. My DD did the princess style and it did not hurt her. THe CM said that was the hardest style to do. We had a new person doing her so it took awhile, but it was nice and certainly did not hurt her. And regarding the make up, you can tell them you do not want much or how much you want. They will basically do what you ask.

That's great! I'm glad to hear it. I've been reading another thread where they comment that the hair is pulled so tightly that it hurts and gives the kids a headache, and that the FGIT's have to do everything exactly the same way...

I think my daughter will enjoy the experience, but I want it to be subtle, and I'm glad to hear that they can just paint her own nails.

Thanks for the info!!

We did lunch last year. It was wonderful! My DD really wanted to dress up, so we hit the parks at early morning EMH rope drop, then about 1/2 hour before our ressie, we ducked into a bathroom and pulled my DD's dress from our backpack, slipped it on, put up her hair, and were on our way! Her dress is really comfy--not one of those itchy ones--so she even kept it on for awhile after lunch. The "captain" over at the Jungle Cruise kept talking about how honored he was to be entertaining a princess!!:rotfl:
