I have a ? for all you water park experts. My family prefers gentler rides (myself excluded, but I go along with the majority)...which park would be better for us? Does one park get more crowded than the other during the summer months?

We will be staying at BCV and plan on spending just part of the day at a water park once or twice during our trip. We are not experienced water park people, so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!princess:

The great thing about both of these parks is that there are gentle slides and extreme slides at both. BB, in my opinion, has the edge on TL for the faster more extreme rides because of Summit Plummit. TL has an excellent lazy river, a family raft ride, smaller and slower slides as well as a couple of major thrills. I would also throw in that TL has a shark reef for snorkling and the ever impressive wave pool. I think if you want the thrills you'll find them both places, but TL seems to be the tamer of the two.

We went to both waterparks last week and my family all liked Typhoon Lagoon better because we liked the tropical island feel to the place. I really felt like we were on a island somewhere. But both were a lot of fun!

In the summer both parks are popular. During our July trip both parks reached capacity by 10:30 one day and closed. I had no desire to be at either when they are both that crowded.
