There are tradeoffs.
The big plusses at Typhoon Lagoon are Crush n Gusher, the Wave Pool and Shark Reef. The other slides there are major disappointments when compared to thier counterparts at Blizzard Beach.
The obvious plus at Blizzard Beach is the variety and quality of water slides. The family raft ride (Teamboat Springs) is head and shoulders better than the version at Typhoon Lagoon. Summit Plummet (BB) makes Humunga Kowabunga (TL) seem like a kiddie slide. And, at BB, many of the slides have systems that carry the tube/mat up the hill for your. At TL, that doesn't exist anywhere. The worst of which is rolling/carrying those gigantic tubes for the family raft ride up to the starting point. The minor slides at BB are also much better than at TL. Keelhaul Falls (TL) is a complete waste of a slide.
But, again, the wave pool at TL is great (huge waves) and the one at BB is a virtual waste of time. And, Crush n Gusher and Shark Reef have nothing comparable at BB. The two versions of the lazy river are pretty even.
We enjoy them both, but for very different reasons.
