BB or TL on a Monday - Good? Bad?

I am planning another quick trip to WDW the week of Aug 22.

How crowded are the water parks on a Monday? Is one day of the week less crowded than another? I have never seen a crowd calendar for the water parks.

TIA

I'm not really sure but I would definitely encourage you to be there at park opening. You will be able to get seats in the shade or under an umbrella and get a bunch of slides in before it gets busier. My family prefers TL over BB, mostly because we like Crush n Gusher so much and we like the theme and wave pool more. But BB is fun too.

I don't have any data but I would think most of the weekdays are interchangeable if it's during the school year. Weekends can be a little more crowded because of locals. I would definitely echo what the previous poster said ... if you get there at opening, you can go on the slides with minimal wait then do the stuff where there isn't a wait (like the lazy river) when it gets more crowded. That's our strategy and it's always worked for us.

Mondays are the best days for the WPs. Most of the guest are vacationers who arrive on a Sat or Sunday and don't usually make it to WPs 'til later in the week.
It's the same reason why MK is always packed on Mondays!

ETA - And any bad weather day! Our best WP days was a cool, misty day in April. TL was closed at BB was a ghost town. We had a blast. No lines all day.

BB is less popular although we prefer it that way. Monday during summer doesn't matter if school's still out.

Thread hijack - can a single rider do Crush n Gusher? I'm going to a WP solo and would like to try this one, haven't been to TL since it was built.

Definitely go on a Monday! We went last month and Monday had less than 10 minute waits on the slides and plenty of chairs available, even in the shade. Most people go to the major parks in the beginning of their vacation and do the water parks later in the week.

Crush n Gusher has 3 slides to chose from - 2 of the slides are double rider, but 1 is single or double rider.

We've gone on Mondays on our past two trip. We go in September/ October, but we've always had very light waits. I think I read that the waterpark crowds are heavier on Wednesdays or Thursdays.

Since Fl schools return to session that week if they did not return earlier it should be less crowded during the week anyway- Aug 24th is the latest of any school districts in Fl starting.

Never mind :) (deleted my original reply) We had three people so I was thinking there was always someone solo, but I forgot some of them are a three seater

As an aside, I hate that. We have a family of three, and if my 7 year old wants to do different slides we have to separate. And it seems like the line for the one that allows single riders gets longer than the others since it's the only place they can go.
