Is there a thread on Bay Lake Tower? I may be missing something, but I cant find one. We have booked a 1BR villa at BLT for May and I am hoping to get some input and be excited about it. We stayed at the Poly last year and LOVED it. We have also stayed at the CR years ago and it was nice too. Just love the Poly a bit more, but got a better deal on the 1BR with the room only discount code. I am excited about having more room AND especially a WASHER AND DRYER in my room:cool1:
I hate hauling my laundry to the laundry room and waiting for it to get done! Now I can stick a load in whenever I want and not have to wait on it:banana:
Can anyone tell me what they provide with a kitchen/washer & dryer? We have never stayed at a Villa and I dont know much about them. We did rent through CRO with the 45% room discount, not through DVC if that matters.
Thanks for anyone who can enlighten me about this resort and get me excited about it:thumbsup2

Since you rented through CRO, you'll get daily cleaning every day. You'll also get left a single use box of Tide daily, no fabric softener or dryer sheets, you'll have to bring those and more detergent if you plan on more than one load a day. I'm DVC, so I don't get daily supplies and bring those purex 3 in 1 sheets, they work well for things like this and are easy to pack.

This fellow took pictures of everything so you will know exactly what the room will look like.

We stayed in a 1br. villa over Halloween and loved it.
Washer and dryer are stacked and very quiet. Once you close the door, you can't even hear when they are running. We got Tide packet every day from mousekeeping. Suggest using purex sheets as you can bring them with you.

Plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Living room was roomy but furniture is uncomfortable to sit upon. Kitchen is well appointed. We ate all our meals in the villa and had no problem cooking there. Bedding is heavenly.. even the pullouts were comfy. DVD and TV are fine but our remotes were tempermental. Jacuzzi is wonderful after a long day in the parks. Having 2 full baths (that I never had to clean) was wonderful. Lighting was good and there was plenty of storage.

Remember that everything happens from CR... there are no services at BLT. We stayed on the 16th floor and it took our kids 10 minutes round trip to go to the contempo to fill their mugs. There is a hospitality area with crafts/games/pin trading for kids. Some activities were extra cost but we didn't do them. Kids loved the arcade at CR.

Pool is small and not much to speak of. Up side is that you can use the pool at CR as well. Movies and marshmallow roast every evening is great fun. Wonderful view of fireworks from bridge and beach.

Ask for high floor and OUTSIDE CRESCENT if you want a better view. We were on the inside of the crescent and view was nothing special.

Bus and monorail service was timely and efficient. The only down side to the BLT is that there isn't a down side.

How did you rent through CRO?

We booked our reservation on line at BLT for a 2 bdrm villa, TPV as well. We are very excited and can't wait.:yay:

OP there is a lot of great info on the DVC board. That's where I found one very special person that answered all of my questions. She was great.:flower3:

What a great link Thanks gonesaleing

Maybe I'm crazy, but where is the DVC board? The closest thing I saw was Adventures by Disney. I'm also interested in reading more posts about BLT!
thanks!

Staying at Bay Lake Towers in 29 days:cool1:.DVC member here but we don't own at BLT.

We're going to be staying in the one bedroom. Last time we stayed at a villas we did a two bedroom but we figured the one bedroom would work with the pull out chair and 2 bathrooms. We have a MK view:cool1:and I just can't wait to watch wishes every night and wake up to the castle in the morning:lovestruc

Don't forget that check-in, bell services, valet services, dining locations and all transportation is located at the Contemporary.

Thanks for the report and link. Great pictures. How many floors are on BLT? I need to request a higher floor for better views, but didnt know how high the building is. We also have a Bay Lake view. Is that considered Outside Crescent or is that Theme Park View? I was wondering about the refillable mugs and if there was any dining in BLT, but you answered that one. Thanks for all the replies:thumbsup2
Also- how big is that sleeper chair? I was going to have my DS14 sleep on it, but it looks small in the pictures. Can anyone confirm if it is actually a twin bed size? Thanks

Well here is a picture of what the Bay Lake View looks like from the Contemporary, so I would assume that's how it should look from Bay Lake Tower.

I think the CR is a different story. You have the front and the back of a more or less square type building. The BLT building is rounded. I would think it is possible to book Bay Lake view and still get some Theme Park view. Maybe Im wrong, thats why I asked.
