Losing the L-shaped banquette is a big loss IMO. Fitting my family of 6 around the breakfast/dinner table is a basic requirement for me.

We don't have many people eating in the room but I always scratch my head as the 1/2 BR living areas are the same and if it is booked as a 2 bedroom how are you going fit 9 people around the table?

I wonder if all of the rooms will now have seating at the island vs those with the laundry room do not to try and make up some seating.

This is all very exciting! I hope that if I call and put in a new room request and let them know it’s my first stay as a DVC member and it’s my parent’s 44th wedding anniversary that it might net us a renovated room! Looks like a decent chunk of the 2 Bed TPV rooms are already being worked on in the Southern half of the tower. I really like the art and vibes and am super excited that it wasn’t just an “IP” theme. I love the Roy dedication photo and the Mary Blaire (presumably) art! Also, the fold-down beds are at least a real mattress so I imagine the one under the TV is more comfortable than the twin chair.

We usually stay 2 bedroom with my parents and it’s only 5 of us, so that table would probably seat all of us at once, but when we did a group of 7 earlier this year, we couldn’t all fit at the remodeled table in BRV.

Wish my iPhone had better zoom. Whatever they’ve done, when these new rooms have all of the lights on and the blinds are either up or not installed yet, they seem super bright!

I’m not sure of the current rules but previously you had to stay somewhere on property even the all stars and you and whoever was on your reservation could go up
