Bay Lake Tower lounge

I believe any guests staying in the Room with you can go.

We had a GV and took a total of 10 people up to TOWL. Only two of us are DVC members but we were all in the same accommodation.

It says on the member website that all guests must be staying on your reservation with you. Not in a separate villa booked on your points, but in the same villa you are staying in. If you have a two bedroom, everyone on that two bedroom reservation can join you. If you have a studio, everyone on that studio reservation can join you.

We are able to register friends as day guests on our reservation and bring them up with us.

You'd have to have available occupancy in your villa to add others. And not be on the dining plan.
My understanding is you can add a Day Guest to your room (they would be provided a key card) no matter if there is or isn't a dining plan. Though your part on occupancy I believe does apply. So if 3 registered on the room and it supports 4 max then only 1 Day Guest can be registered.

So if my daughter's family is staying at a villa (she's not a member) that I booked for her and I am staying at Wilderness Lodge( not using points) I cannot take her family of 6 up to the TOTWL?

I actually don't know the site to me doesn't explicitly state it is only those on your room reservation.

Accessing the Lounge
This special access to Top of the World Lounge is available on a first-come, first-served basis until the lounge reaches capacity.

As the lounge is most popular during the Magic Kingdom fireworks, arriving as early as possible will offer Members the best chance of gaining admission to this exclusive experience.

Available to Eligible Members
Disney Vacation Club Members staying at any Disney-owned-and-operated hotel at Walt Disney World Resort (whether they booked with Vacation Points or cash) may enjoy access to this exclusive space just outside Magic Kingdom park.

Check in
Upon arrival, Members must check in at the Top of the World Lounge desk in the ground floor lobby.

At least one Member in the traveling party must accompany the group and present his or her current MagicBand or card in order to gain admission to the lounge and observation deck. A Disney Vacation Club Membership Card is also required to verify Membership.

Though it was reported above that the site said this somewhere. I'd guess when it isn't busy they are likely not going to care because it after all is a profit center for Disney. More people more drinks/apps.

It says under the section before It is limited to the members and their guests staying on that member's reservation . See Highlights. Your daughter isn't staying on your reservation unless your name is on the reservation.

On the member website look under Find Destinations. Find Bay Lake Tower. Click on Top of the World Lounge. Then click on Highlights. It's there .

We have taken family staying in a separate villa on our points at BLT up to TOTWL. They had a 2BR and we had a studio. We checked in and told them we were a party of 8. But it was not a busy time.

I've never brought up other guests not staying in my villa, but they've always only scanned one magic band (member with card). Has anyone ever had it where they scan everyone's band? There really wouldn't be any other way they would know unless they scanned everyone's bands

Yes, we were there in October, DH and me. They scanned both of our MB's and I also had both of our Membership Cards available if they wanted them.

We have taken 2 others that were not on the DVC membership, but were staying in our room up without any issues.

We have brought friends up, not in our villa but on our reservation without any problems.

I'm wondering about this, my son will be with me but I got us separate studios with my points. If he isn't on my reservation, will that be a problem even though he's staying on my points?

I have never had a problem with bringing my friends up even if they were not in my villa, but they were staying in my reservations!

It may depend on the CM at the elevator. If you have space in your studio, just add him to the studio. Then he is "on your reservation".
