New BLT owner here. Looking at point charts and all and saw several posts here and there about the studio views. Are the Theme Park views worth the extra points. I realize “worth” is a relative term so for the purposes of this discussion let’s say by Staying lake view I could bank enough points for an extra night next year?

I don't think so. A lot of Theme Park Rooms see mostly parking lots with the castle and Space Mountain in the distance. There are large windows on every floor of Bay Lake Tower where you can look out and get great views.

Congrats! Personally, my drive to stay there would be TPV!! I think it’s worth it! Look up some YouTube videos! Might help convince you either way! Hope you enjoy your new points!

I’ve been to BLT 4 times. 1st a 2 bdr lake view, 2nd a studio lake view, 3rd studio theme park view, 4th 1brm theme park view. The last was spectacular and the extra room you have from TPV is completely worth it. Yes you see cars if you look down. If you look up like a dreamer you see magic.

I’ve only stayed lake view there-3x in a GV and once in a 2br. We were able to see the MK from all of them because we were on the outside of the”c”.

Both views are gorgeous… just a piece of advice don’t judge the TPV by the photos only, in those parking lots take big part of the view.. but in real life your eyes’ perspective is different .. they will focus on something you like.. maybe the castle, maybe the lights at Main Street, etc..

try it out…. It might be worth it to you

I was one on the fence because of the points chart.. but once we got the castle in front early morning with the sun rising… just got me!

We've stayed 3 times BLT, 2 lake views, 1 TPV. I think it's worth it to try TPV . IT was gorgeous. Loved the fireworks the first night...next 2 nights, didn't matter as much, kinda like, oh yeah, there they are again..... But I'm so very glad we did TPV at least once once, and may try again one day, but, Lake view was really, really great too. We love BLT!! IF we'd ever added on, would've been BLT. Congrats on being a new owner.

I personally like the Lake View on the side looking at Contemporary, the boat dock etc. Very interesting view.

I actually like TPV because the room feels bigger and brighter to me. Maybe because of the curve of the building?

The best room we've ever had though was a standard view at the end by the tennis courts, so I wouldn't stress too much over it.

We just got back. BLT 9th floor with a theme park view. Watching the fireworks while sitting on our deck was great. Turned the TV to channel 105 and could here the entire program. Waking up and seeing the castle was a bonus.

TP view is fine if you get 8th floor or above. However, if you get 5th or 6th floor you will feel like you have been ripped-off because the view is no better than standard view, with the main view being of a large parking lot and a monorail track. Floor 7 is not that good either but not quite as bad as 5 or 6. Problem you have is that floor level is a non-guaranteed request. Thus, you could request high floor and still get stuck on 5th floor (that happened to me). Thus, I no longer get TP view. Moreover, lake view has many fantastic views and a high floor request has a good chance of being met because most rooms on the higher floors are lake view. (The four times I have had lake view, I requested high floor and got it each time.)

And for my two cents . . . Might depend upon the time of year you’re going. In April I was in lake view at the Contemporary and really enjoyed the balcony. I couldn’t help thinking that if I had been on the other side the hot sun would have been on me at night when I was relaxing on the balcony at the end of the day.

Not really sure when and where the sun strikes, but trying to help you justify lake view versus theme park view.
