Bay Lake Observation Deck Details..Finally

The video was outstanding!!

But why isn't this information about the observation deck in our contract?? :confused3

I read it ALL before I signed it, and I don't remember seeing it. They should have the regulations stated somewhere, or even on the members website!!!

Has anyone read this information anywhere?? And if so, where??

I believe there is wording in the contract that the lounge is NOT part of the timeshare, which means DVC can do with it as they please, plus profits from the bar do not go to the members (and neither does the maintenance).

So if I'M the "owner" does that mean I can take my wife and kids there?? Or do they need to be listed on my contract as a "member"?? Although she's not on the "contract" I have her signed up on the website.

I'm sure they will allow your wife and kids if it is open to members.

I was responding that the contract does not list any member rights for the lounge. From what has been posted previously, it is specifically not of the timeshare, DVC (or DVD) owns it, which means they can do what they like with it, the members do not own it.

Was at Doorway to Dreams to today to check out the model of BLT (getting ready for our 8/8 visit) and asked about the lounge. They just got an email on it. 77 people can fit in the actual lounge. Must be a DVC member staying at BLT on points. There will be a CM at the express elevator checking keys. They will let the CM know when they hit capacity and stop sending folks up. Oh, It is first come first serve open from 5 - 12.

I see this lasting about a year or till BLT sells out then Disney takes the lounge and deck back for private parties just like the ATTIC.:goodvibes

Disney if your reading this give us members our Attic back.:rotfl:fat chance

Don't understand all the hoopla. We told you guys this was what the deal was going to be months ago (exactly what's outlined in this thread). Some of you were apparently in denial that anybody could possibly have a better source than you had. :confused3

I have never stayed DVC as I am a new member. But from what I have read, don't renters keys say "DVC member" or something to that effect?

If all they are checking for is room key and not DVC member card as well, doesn't it stand to reason that renters may get in?

do they serve something there?

do they serve something there?

It's a bar.

It will be interesting to hear the first reports on it. From the overhead pictures I've seen, the room goes around to the back of the building, facing the lake. Sounds nice but I can't figure how 77 people will be able to see the fireworks from inside. I think outside will be the place to be.
