I have a ressie for 6 people round trip, one of the people on our ressie is not going.
I want to drop him and I would like to cancel/change our return date for a later time.

The swa website seems to only allow me to cancel my whole round trip even to just drop him

am I looking at the wrong spot?

how can I drop him and get his credit?
How can I adjust just my return trip, not the whole ressie?

Call Southwest and have them split the PNR so the 6th person is on a separate confirmation number. Then have them cancel that ticket.

thanks that was perfect! girl was totally able to help solve my problems and she was nice :thumbsup2

gotta love swa :cloud9:

That's the eauty of Southwest; I can't think of any other airline where this would be possible.

I was telling the girl 'Lisa" how swa intimadated me at first. Not understanding what a DING is, or how one can book one way flights. I figured there was a catch, like the return flight would be overpriced or wouldnt exists at all, and then the whole boarding thing.

Let me assure newbies now...the DING is simply an alert a little ding sound that occurs on your computer usually once a day and lets you know when extra special fares are occuring, you can click and see the fares or just ignore it. Basically it is the same theory as the blue light special Kmart has with their flashing blue light.

2nd...you can book round trip or one way and you can tinker with the dates very easily so you can see which travel dates may give you the best deal, then once you find what you like you can book it. and as others have pointed out..if your flight is cheaper later on you can change and get a credit you can use towards a future flight

finally for boarding, it is so easy. just check in online(you can do this at any guest services at the theme parks at WDW and of course at your home. Try and check in as close to 24 hours ahead of your flight as possible. That will give you closer to the front of the line boardng

then, when you are at the airport, you will see on your ticket you printed out at home a letter and a number, this is the order you can get on the plane. Once on the plane sit wherever you want and there is room

also, when you are at the airlines you will see these silver posts with numbers..when they call your group just line up next to your number

Hope this helps other newbies who may be like I was and afraid of the swa system

Oh and no extra fees for up to 2 bags

Southwest isn't always perfect but they seem to try hard.

I will be the first to sing the praises of Southwest's customer service - they have come to my aid often.
