Battle of the Bands???

I read this on Deb Wills' All Ears Net today:


The fourth Battle of the Bands competition will be held April 24, 8 p.m., at Pleasure Island’s Rock ‘n Roll Beach Club. Each band will perform a 30-minute set of original and cover material before midnight. Judges will critique each band, and the winners will play another set after midnight, plus get a one-night contract to play at Pleasure Island at a later date. Admission is included in the Pleasure Island ticket price of $19.95 plus tax.


Anyone know anything about this? Specifically, has anyone done this before? Can I find out what bands will be playing?
