Batteries throught security?

I HAVE seen an issue on a couple of occasions when someone took a bar of them; one of those larger long packs that they sell at places like Costco. That looks rather like a clip of bullets on the scanner. If you are bringing more than 4 or so you might want to put them right on top where they will be easy to check.

you should be fine they have a sensor in the xray machine that detects explosive i know my shoes set it off. make sure you have the batteries separated on the xray it is going to look like a weapon because the xray will not penetrate the batteries or rolled coins for the press pennies

I have had my camera bag inspected a number of times, but then there are batteries, wires, charger, etc, that may give an inspector reason to want a better, hands on look. Took an extra minute or two.
