Batman: The Dark Knight

Oh and I don't know if any of you guys frequent the imdb but The Dark Knight currently holds the #1 spot on the Top 250 movies list!

Over 90.000 votes and its rating is 9.5!:scared1:

The Godfather fans are really upset, because it knocked their favorite movie off the top spot, so they have resorted to making multiple accounts and rating The Dark Knight with 1 star...

muahahaha. TDK FTW!!!!!

Seriously that's amazing that within like 5 days of realease it's #1 on IMDB!! hah

I saw it again today.
I caught everything I missed the first time, except for when the joker says "These pencils, I can make them disappear".

When was that line?

When he enters the bad guys meeting to negotiate with them.

Before Saturday, I didn't really know about Batman. I knew who he was, but never really knew the story. I went to the movie with my friend and her brothers and all I could say was OMG!!! That was seriously one of the best movies I have ever seen. Just everything about it was amazing. It had me sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time. And Heath Ledger played an AMAZING Joker. Like a PP said, no one would be able to top him if a third movie is made. Hopefully they will do something with the character. But like everyone has said i have to go see it again! The first time I was in shock and awe at everything that the next time I see it I can actually focus on the plot and the point of everything so I can 'unconfuse' my self. LOL

I haven't seen it, but were definently going to! My sisters saw it and they loved it sooo much! Sounds like it was brilliant! :)

Apparently a survey was taken as to who would be best to play the Joker since Heath is gone, and they said JOHNNY DEPP! I think he would be fantastic but according to Johnny he is afraid of playing a dark movie like that, he doesn't want to be warped!

Ooh, Johnny Depp would make a cool Joker.
I don't think he should do it though. :confused3

It's now past 100.000 votes and it has a solid 9.5 rating.

Looks like it's there to stay!;)

I don't think so either, I think it would be rude to Heath Ledger. Let it be, I think that is why he declined that.
A little off track but did any one else hear that Jack Nicholson (Origional Joker) warned Heath against the role. Apparently when Jack heard that he died he said "I warned him."

it makes sense if he did. That character is demented beyond belief. After getting in character for something like that you would for sure have issues. He played a mass murder which could have created the insomnia he seemed to be facing before he died. Honestly if i had a character like that i wouldn't be able to sleep for A LONG time.

That's a good point, but also I don't want Johnny to do it because then teens who aren't interested in Batman, are just going to go to see Johnny, and not for the movie itself. And that is going to piss me off. (Even though, I admit to being guilty of that a couple of times, probably  )

Is Nicholson implying that the movie killed Heath and not the drugs? Well, it was the drugs... but I guess the movie led him to the perscription drugs or something?

I agree with you about people just going to see Johnny not batman but in truth I went to batman for Heath....

And as for the Nicholson comment I think he knew that the role was awful and demanding, and I also heard that while filming Heath got 2 hours of sleep and that is all. I think the role drove him over the edge. CREEPY.... If I recall I think the drugs were sleeping pills, why was he at Mary Kate's house, I read he was getting a divorce.... Depression that role I don't know...:confused3
