For those folks who have done this - is it designed as a "group tour" through the Baths, with 50 of your closest friends lining up single-file to wind your way through the rocks? Or do they just get you down the stairs to the beach and let you make your own way around? Also, is lunch hosted at "Top of the Baths", or someplace else?

The lunch is a group of local women who look like they make home made food for the tour company. Wasn't very good. We had to leave the beach early to accommodate their schedule and then sit for 2 wasted hours waiting for the bus with nothing to do. Yes, it was single file thru the rocks. The beach at the end was amazing! You can make your own way around entering by way of the parking lot. Much easier than the rocks. Make sure you have water shoes if you do the rocks.

Thanks. We did the Baths on our own during a trip to Virgin Gorda last Thanksgiving. We got slowed down considerably going through the rocks by a tour group, and by another group coming down the stairs. We opted for the walking path back from/to the parking lot that you mentioned.

We like the idea of having food and transportation taken care of ahead of time, but hate being led around like cattle.

We booked our own excursion thru "Speedy's". Ferry from the port area to Virgin Gorda, cab to the Baths, cab back to the port area. Lunch at the Turtle and Bath (excellent!) then ferry back to the port area. Toured the baths at our own pace and spent a lovely few hours snorkeling in the area.

Thank you! If you remember, how much were the ferries and cabs per person?

we were dropped off at the top of the Baths, made the way down to the ocean on our own and managed to get through the "caves" on our own (with many a wrong turn).

We had a fun time with it. spend an hour in the water at devils bay before walking up the path to the car park and to lunch.

I enjoyed the provided lunch. several different choices of meats and salads and drinks. But they did allow / schedule too much time up top (lunch started at 1pm)

We did the "Tour to Virgin Gorda" which was the trip to the Baths without the lunch. We were dropped off at the Baths side, and given a time to meet for a somewhat guided tour through the caves after spending some time to swim there. Had about an hour to swim at Devils Bay beach, and then meet back at the bus for the ride back to the boat. We got back to the ship around 1pm or so, where we ate lunch. This tour is half the cost of the one you are referring to.

I can still sign up for the "Tour to VG" but it leaves at 1:00, with an early dinner I think that may be too soon. Think we will do this on our own....
