Bathroom (toilet) question

This might be TMI but I need some serious help....I have a smell that comes from my toilet (even after being freshly cleaned) it smells like stale toilet water....BTW the rugs and floor are also cleaned...we have the toilet cleaner that is in the toilet....please help ASAP...

Maybe it's the water in tank. You could try adding bleach Look online for instructions on how much to add and how to empty the tank, etc.

It could also be that wax seal thing between the toilet and the floor.

My g/f's ex-hus. was a plumber, and got a lot of calls about this, and would replace that seal. It get's funky.

Most likely the wax ring under the toilet needs to be replaced.

I agree with the ring, mine was funky and by the time I figured it out, the flooring was discoloring from the leaking.

Yep it is probably the seal. Have to get it replaced more than likely. Make sure you check the flooring/basement for leaking.
