Basking in the Glow of the (not so) Creepy Clown -2/11-Pictures, Final Thoughts, PTR!

I'm so glad to hear that Henry was able to ride TT and that he enjoyed it! We had trouble with Ava making it on TT. The CM outside said she was tall enough, but the one at the loading area said she wasn't! After having another CM come over to measure her again they let her on. Thankfully we didn't have any more issues with her height the rest of the time!

That's great that Henry liked Test Track. Whoa, an hour looking at the cars?

Back when I first saw Crush, something similar happened but I don't think the kid was quite as graphic as what you described.

my nephew was 3.5 when we went in Feb and my brother took him on TT. I thought he was CRAZY! But he LOVED it! Glad Henry liked it!

Brook is back with an update!!:banana::banana:

And what a wonderful update! :thumbsup2 It's great that you have enough humor to post your family portrait, it was very funny. Besides Henry looking a bit drunk, his head is also double the size of Joe's! :rotfl:

You did experience quite a lot that morning and it looks very uncrowded... Perhaps there is something to be said abour September... :confused3 I loved all the Henry pictures walking in and out of Test Track, it looks like he was on kind of a mission to get there! And a very smart idea to go shopping while the boys explore the cars. :thumbsup2 May I suggest that you use your phones to find each other in Mouse Gear, that place eats people, I have spent so much time looking for people in there....

Yeay for an awesome update to start my day! That private entrance to Epcot is quite lovely, isn't it? ::yes:: Hurray for Henry being tall enough to ride Test Track! Love his thumbs-up! I bet he was in heaven playing in the cars afterwards! Too funny that all the CMs would say, "You found Nemo!" He does look very happy with his new friend! I laughed so loud over the little boy's comment in Crush! :rotfl:

Ha! That is so funny about turtle talk with Crush. X-rated stlye!

And your comment about your family pic made me LOL literally! I stopped trying to get a good family pic and just focus on trying to get a good single pic of Gabriel. Someone always ends up with their eyes closed, or half open looking drugged or mouth open......sometimes all three!

Henry is too cute with his Nemo!

Gabriel has asked for the "Fish Tank Gang" plushies for Christmas. I have just spent so much money getting Gil, Peach, Bubbles, and Bloat. I found Deb but it's from a store in Australia and I draw the line there. They don't even make a Gurgle or Jaques....so I have to tell him the Santa is too busy to have the elves make them up.

The boy has a ton a plush and he plays with every single one of them:headache:

OMG, those were some amusing updates! Love how the kid responded at Turtle Talk. :rotfl: I am always wondering if some kid will say something like that. Hilarious. :lmao:

Also thought the video of the seagulls and Henry was cute. "What do you think of that?" And Henry sneezes. LOL! How fun all the CMs would tell him he found Nemo then when he got his stuffed animal. :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great day so far.

I LOVE that picture of Henry with Nemo...and Nemo:goodvibes It is soooooo cute:cloud9:
And whats with that cup you bought? It looks like it has a hook type thingy on the side of it. Does it hang on the stroller or something? I may have to loook that up when we go :)
Great update!!

Lovely update!

Hope you are enjoying your first Christmas season in the city with Henry! I think NYC is so magical this time of year!

We are having a great Christmas season so far! We are trying to do something fun each day, I should post some pictures here of things we do in the City--this Friday we are going to Rockefeller.

Does anyone care to see some of the NYC Christmas sights? We went to go see the Macy's windows the other day, and this Friday are going to Rockefeller and walk down 5th Ave. I can post pics if people are interested!

:rotfl::rotfl2: Henry looks drunk. Hitting the juice a little too hard? :sad2:

And the angle on me is just awful -- Joe looks weird too! I almost skipped posting it, but between the 3 of us, it was just too bad to not post!

And that cup was a nice price, too. :thumbsup2

That is a very cute one of the boy and his fish friends. One of these days we need to get the whole gang of DIS kids together and have their pictures made together at all of these familiar places.

Yes, yes it was! I saw the price and instantly kept that baby in my hands! I couldn't believe it was that cheap.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a big DIS kids group shot....oh goodness....it would be so cute. This Feb/March we might be able to get quite a few of them together!

Great update! You are so right about feeling VIP using the Epcot back entrance! We loved that :)

Henry with Nemo is so cute! I think he made a good choice :thumbsup2

Uh-oh sounds like a melt down is coming

Joe's favorite park is Epcot, so he especially loved that we could quickly dip into the park via that VIP entrance!

We will see about that meltdown....:rolleyes1

AN UPDATE!! Love the drunk Henry Family Portrait!! :lmao: Looks like our typical one. :rotfl2:

I love your scenic EPCOT shots! Those are simply lovely!

Henry is quite the budding artist- the KidCot stops are so great for the little ones.

And I see you went on one of my personal favorite rides--- the farting skunk ride. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Isn't that just awful?! Like I said above, I almost didn't post it-but it was too bad NOT to post! I knew it would make people laugh!

I am a bit bummed about the change in the KidCot stops. I like the mask with the charms. Duffy is cute, but not nearly as educational. Henry won't care much I don't think at this point!

Yep, we did the farting skunk! Joe did it twice! Last time we rode Henry hated that skunk, this time he laughed!

Fabulous update Brook!:goodvibes How great that Henry braved Test Track! That's pretty darn good for a boy his age. I saw too that Joe had his arm across him while on the outside track at 60mph! I laughed because I did the exact same thing to my then DD4 because I felt I needed to hold her in! Doesn't it feel much faster than just 60mph?

Epcot is such a gorgeous park and your pics do it justice. And I do love your family self-portrait! It's um, well, unique! I have plenty of pics of me doing that with my family and they are 99% hideous.

Ok, I faintly remember you mentioning YOU had a meltdown at Epcot so my guess is that is the next update! Every mommy is allowed to have one (or a hundred;)) It looks like you still had that great karma going on for this trip, what a laid back and relaxing time you had! Looking forward to the next update!:goodvibes

Yes! That 60 mph seemed SOOOOO much faster than it ever has! I remember it never even really phasing me, but add my child and "holy cow, that was FAST!" :rotfl: Joe and I both put our arms across him, criss cross style, but I quickly snapped the pic and then returned to my lock-down-child mode!

Me, a meltdown? Nooooooooooooooo.....:rolleyes1

Love that Epcot back entrance - not that I've ever had occasion to use it  - it's on my "someday" list to stay at the Boardwalk!
Love the family portrait - great memories!
Love the fish pictures with Henry!
How fun to watch him discover Test Track! :thumbsup2

I hope you get to do the BWI! It's a fantastic resort....and that VIP Entrance is quite nice! Same with the boat over to DHS. :cloud9:

Test Track was awesome - Joe and I were LOVING that he could ride with us and was into it!

I like this idea! I can tell you right now, it isn't going to be easy with all the little ones. Should be interesting though to try.:goodvibes
Great update! Henry is such a cutie!! What a great choice--getting Nemo. I'm pretty sure I have him around my house somewhere.

We'll end up with one crazy picture with half the kids looking at something else, but it'll still be cute!! I'm guessing at least one will be crying too.

I was really happy with Henry's choice of Nemo! I thought for sure it would be Buzz....but that Buzz plush is a little weird looking IMO...! He insists Marlin is also at "Mickey's House", but I cannot recall seeing one. If he continues to remember this, we might be on a hunt this coming trip!

I understand your woes with the height thing! Henry was just BARELY tall enough - we didn't hit the issue on Test Track, but Soarin' was another story...

That's great that Henry liked Test Track. Whoa, an hour looking at the cars?

Back when I first saw Crush, something similar happened but I don't think the kid was quite as graphic as what you described.

Yes, that kid is obsessed with cars! I was almost sleeping while standing up after the first 20 minutes. ;) Seriously, I love watching him climb around in them, but over and over and over....ya....I'll be in Mouse Gear...

I am sure that happens quite a bit, and oh-man, it was funny! No one knew quite how to react, including Crush! They really should just change that to something else, like a snorkel mask to avoid all that!

my nephew was 3.5 when we went in Feb and my brother took him on TT. I thought he was CRAZY! But he LOVED it! Glad Henry liked it!

Henry just looooooved it. He was talking about the ride after our trip, "and the car goes realllyyyyyyyyyyyyyy reallyyyyyyyyy fast!" I'm sure he'll recognize it next trip and run right for it!

Brook is back with an update!!:banana::banana:

It feels sooooo good to be back! I missed you all! Seriously, I think about you DISers all the stinkin' time, when I'm not chatting with you-it's weird! However, reading all these TRs I have been behind on sure makes me ACHE a lot more for a trip. I'm glad ours is just around the corner.

Isn't that picture absurd?! I laughed so hard...it was too bad to not share! I knew everyone would get a kick out of it. Joe looks so weird - and you are right, his head looks TINY! :rotfl: The angle on me is just awful too!

September is sooooooo nice crowd-wise. And of course we use Touring Plans to tell us the least crowded park. We love it! Later in the trip we hit one day with crowds, and it was a AM EMH, so makes sense. On our honeymoon we went in October and that was actually our favorite though - low crowds AND awesome weather.

Very good idea with the phone in Mouse Gear. I haven't been in that store in a looooooong time - maybe since our first trip! I wouldn't mind getting lost in there for a long while, but eventually would want to emerge.

The DIS with coffee is a lovely thing, isn't it? I'm doing just that as well. :goodvibes

Henry has played with those cars on every trip, but it was like it was all brand new being he doesn't remember anything/much from previous trips--which was a lot of fun for us. And he's so much more vocal and into things, so the cars were a real treat for him!

Ha! That is so funny about turtle talk with Crush. X-rated stlye!

MANY of our family portraits turn out that way too - and I usually delete and try again, but this one we only had a second, so we got what we got - and it was too funny to not post!! A very funny thread here would be for people to post these sort of pictures - us DISers standing in front of the park icons/on rides, etc that just turned out BAD. :rotfl:

Oh my! I have NEVER seen any of the other plush guys! Where did you find all the other ones?!?! Henry would love a Gil I think, he talks about him a lot!

OMG, those were some amusing updates! Love how the kid responded at Turtle Talk. :rotfl: I am always wondering if some kid will say something like that. Hilarious. :lmao:

Sounds like a great day so far.

I bet that happens a lot at Turtle Talk! It was sooooo stinkin' funny. And very awkward for a few seconds until the first person erupted with laughter. They really should just change it to a neutral item to avoid all that!

I know, that video cracked me up too!! I almost didn't post it, but thought it was pretty cute!

I LOVE that picture of Henry with Nemo...and Nemo:goodvibes It is soooooo cute:cloud9:

Great update!!

The little blue hook thing? It's part of the lid, and I think it's purpose is just to make it easier to get the lid off...

But, now that I type that and think about it...the top screws on.

:scratchin

So ya, I think you just told me a tip about my cup.

:lmao:

$3.95 is the price. A bargain!

Another fabulous Brook and family update!!! YAY for having a good morning with only minor meltdowns!! Henry looks so cute with his Nemo!!!!! I just love Disney plushs!!!!

And yes I would love to see pictures of NYC at Christmas time...so post away!!!!!!

That is the most hilarious Turtle Talk story!! :rotfl2: And I am so happy Henry was able to go on Test Track- that is the one ride my WHOLE family loves, so I'm always happy to hear when there is a new convert. :thumbsup2

Glad you're back! :yay:

I want to see the NYC Christmas pics! That is husband's dream vacation. NYC at Christmas. Had airline tickets to go once and ended up having to cancel and eat the tickets because we bought a house and weren't able to go then :(

Good to see you back!

I wonder if my boys will be able to/want to ride TT when we go. I know the 5 year old will but I bet he will be too scared to! I am so looking forward to them being able to ride more grown up rides..

3.95...that is a bargain!! I will have to look for that when we go in May. Did you see them in various places, or just in the Nemo dump shop? Let me know if you find a use for the hook thingy :)

Awww Henry got to ride Test Track for the first time AND he loved it! He's not a little baby any more.

I can tell that he made a great choice when he purchased Nemo. You can see how much he loves it in his smile.

Hi Brook!

OMG, that kid in Turtle Talk was hilarious!!! I bet his parents wanted to crawl out of there!

Epcot is just gorgeous!! I wish I could click my heels & be there now!!

Yes, I would love to see some NYC Christmas pictures!! :)

Cars + Henry= Happy Little One!:thumbsup2 I'm so glad he was tall enough and he liked the ride!

I love all of the Seas photos, I never spend enough time in there. It's funny you mention the "bra" story. We had a similar incident happen at Turtle Talk last November! Did I read somewhere on the boards that they actually took the bathing suit top out of the show? Maybe it was happening a few times too many.:lmao:

I would love to see NYC holiday lights!!!:santa: Bring on the photos!

I would love to see some. We plan on going to NYC next yr for Christmas. It has been my dream for ever. We move in 2012 form NoVa so we are going. Can't bet a 4 hr drive.

Do you know how relieved I am that I only missed your updates from yesterday? :lmao:

I know I haven't kept up with the banter but I will try my best to. :rolleyes1

How sweet that you can walk right into Epcot from the back. Very neat!

So glad Henry liked TT... Juliana had her first ride on it last week and she loved it!!!! I wish I took video of her when we got to the fast part.

Love your Crush story... LOL I wish I was there for that! :rotfl:

SUUUUUUURRRRRREEEEEEEE, Joe didn't remember. He just wanted to see his 'ol pal Figment 2 times! :figment:
