Basic vs Deluxe

Hmmmmm......

I booked a romantic getaway for my hubby and myself Oct'09 (soooo far away!) and took advantage of the bounceback offer to include free dining. I am considering upgrading to the deluxe dining plan, to have the extra credits for more ambiance and romance !

So would I just be able to upgrade and pay the difference between basic and deluxe even though the bounceback includes the basic plan? Does anyone know what the upgrade would cost approx/day. We are only there for four days...so I am thinking this would be an opportunity to do it up nice!

...and seeing as how the basic does not include a refillable mug, and the deluxe does - we would have been purchasing one for $12ish...which means really only an extra $18ish for each of us/day!!! (...sorry, just trying to justify it in my head! LOL!)

Well your math is a little faulty... I believe that Deluxe Dining is about $32 more per person per day than regular DDP. SO the upcharge would be in the neighborhood of:
[WARNING math ahead! ]

$32 x 2 (people) x 4 (days) = $256 extra less the fee for 2 refillable mugs. I forget exactly how much the mugs are, so say $15 each for arguements sake, so really $256-$30= about $226 for the 4 days --a bit more than $18/day that you were thinking above.

Personally as it's just the two of you I would pay the upgrade cost. We upgraded our free dining to deluxe this year, and really loved the deluxe plan. It made for a relaxing adult orientated break, as we got to dine in the signatures at night, and the 1TS restaurants for lunch, when they were quieter and more serene.
