Base Ticket with "plusses"

We are ordering our tickets for Disney... we would like to go to the parks for 4 days and to a water park on the fifth day. If we get the base ticket for 4 days and add the water park option, can we still use the water park option on the 5th day? Or, since the pass if a 4 day pass, will it have expired after our 4 days in parks?

It also doesn't help that Disney just changed their ticket names and prices AGAIN... Thanks for whatever help you can provide!

I believe that the way the plus option works is that you have unlimited admission to the theme and water parks for the duration of your stay. I wasn't aware of an exclusive "water park" option, but it may be what you consider the "plus" option to be. So, if you bought "plus" tickets, you would in fact be able to go to the parks on both days. If not, you'd have to pay water park admission daily in addition to your base ticket prices for the other parks.

WOW. My head hurts! :confused3

If you only are going to use 1 day worth of the plus options, it's not worth buying the plus package at $45 per ticket. Gate admission to the water park is $36 and at water park tickets at ticketmania are $24 (tax, shipping included). Now, if you were doing more than one plus option, then you'd be saving money.

Yes, you can use your base park tickets and plus options on different days as long as they're within the 14 day expiration from first use.

QT - Thanks for the tip on ticketmania - however I couldn't find anything about Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon when I looked at the site. Any suggestions?

DQ is $24 at ticketmania, less with the mousesavers link. I don't think they sell water park tickets.

The plus option makes sense if you want to do both water parks or also do DQ.

You may go to waterparks, Disney Quest, Pleasure Island on fifth, sixth, and seventh days (in any order) when you buy the plus pack with your 4 day pass and choose to use the park admissions and plusses on separate days.

The unlimited water park privilege is no longer offered with standard passes. The 4 day Magic Your Way pass with plus pack gets three plus admissions and you do not need the hopping option so long as only one major theme park is visited on any given day.

The above is inaccurate.

And, as stated, if you only go one day, and don't go to DQ or PI, it's cheaper to buy a one day WP ticket.

Cheers.

Thanks for all the help - now for another intricate question: How easy is it for members of a party to use eachother's passes? For instance, if we add on the plus package to only two tickets, and two of us go to a water park and then the other two in the party want to go to P.I., can we all use the same two passes for water park admission and PI admission so that we only had to buy the plus package for two tickets, rather than four?

I would call and ask Disney this but I don't think they'd be entirely happy to hear that we're trying to save money and use the same passes.
