I know, it is still below freezing around here, but the pitchers and catchers are working in Florida, so there IS a hope of spring! I am certainly glad we have a climate controlled indoor stadium here though, because there is no way we will have decent weather here on April 5th!

When I start hearing the frogs, then I'll know spring is coming but I think that's going to be awhile!!!

I grew up being a Tiger fan but when I went to Chicago, I became a Cubs fan. My Dad is a die hard White Sox fan!!

My first sign of spring isnt a robin its first time I get to hear a news report from Florida and get to hear batting practice..nothing like hearing a wooden bat stike a ball!

And I'm right there with you, Diane - April is one of the few times that having the Metrodome is worth it! Nothing like watching live pro baseball when it's snowing out!

I can't believe it's time for spring training already. Didn't the playoffs just end? (Not that I'm complaining...)

Astros fan checking in here. It should be a great race this year in the NL Central.

There are quite a few ticked off fans here right now. Opening Day sold out in 15 minutes because everyone thought that Clemens would be pitching. It was announced yesterday that he will be 3rd in the rotation behind Roy Oswalt and Andy Pettitte. Those of us who keep our ears to the ground heard rumors that this might happen, which is why I didn't even try to get tickets for opening day.
