Barq's Red Cream Soda?!

Is there anyone on here who is able to buy Barq's red cream soda at their local supermarket? What state, or "region" are you in??

We tried the stuff at World of Coca Cola in Atlanta yesterday and I am addicted to it!

We can buy it almost anywhere here- Barq's is a local product. I agree- the red cream soda is delish!

I love Barq's red creme soda. We live in the New Orleans metro area and I can find just about anywhere also.

I believe I can find it here in SE Michigan. I know that it was readily available when I was growing up in Cincinnati.

I am pretty sure the Giant has it (in PA). Check beer distrubitors...you may get lucky there.

Barq's originally was bottled in New Orleans, but the operation moved to Biloxi Mississippi some time ago.

But in Cincinnati there was always Big Red. I thought it was better than Barq's, but my son does love Barq's. He drank four one hot summer day at that Ford museum outside Detroit.

What does it taste like? I assume different from a normal cream soda, which is mostly vanilla. Cherry? Strawberry?

It seems like I might need to take a road trip today! I am *stuck* in Fort Walton beach for the next few days.... I think New Orleans is something like 4 hours away... maybe I will rent a car and have a little road trip. I've already spent 17 hours in a car, whats a few more. All in the name of stocking up on a lot of great soda.




*Let me put a disclaimer here-I only say stuck in Ft. Walton because my dh is doing work at Eglin AFB this week, and I'm lonely and the weather isn't exactly warm enough for hanging around the beach as of yet. And ya know, I've never been to New Orleans... it would be a "new experience."

Wow, I've never heard of Barq's Red soda before...never seen it here in Florida. Does it taste like that soda called Big Red?

I thought that I saw it last time I was at Meijer but I'll have to check again. It must be sold only in specific regions as I see people are selling 12 packs on Ebay for over $25.00 with shipping!

My BIL loves Mt Dew but isn't supposed to have caffeine. You'd think that with us being in the Chicago area we would have it but we don't. So when we go up to the lake house in WI, we always bring him home a case or two of Diet Caffeine Mt Dew.
