Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes:
I'll be the heaviest I've ever been on a trip to WDW in a few weeks. I'm not happy about it of course--I lost 35 pounds and then piled it all back on. Anyway, I'll be going with my two little nieces for the first time and the older one is very excited about riding Goofy's Barnstormer with me.

She is 6 and typical 6--skinny, small. I am 5'6" and almost 250 lbs., much of it around the waist. I'm afraid that we won't both fit on the bench or that the bar will come down around me and not protect her at all. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.

Castmembers do a good job making sure that kids are safe when riding with adults of any size. They would have DS ride in front if there was any issue with a lap bar. It's not worth it worrying about riding with your nieces if you don't feel safe. You will all have a great time even if you aren't sharing a seat. Have a great time!
