Ok...I received a Barnes and Noble gift card from a family member. I don't usually shop there. Aside from the obvious (books, movies, music), have you ever purchased anything else from this site? Thanks for your help!
In-store is usually better, if you have one nearby. They have all kinds of toys and puzzles and games... not to mention the coffee shop... And they do really good clearances a few times a year, so you can turn that gift card into an unrecognizable re-gift for someone else
I find the online store carries lots more items than the mortar store. Often they have their toys marked at a discount of some type. I have bought several Lego sets from the site, as well as other things. They carry some Vera Bradley stuff, etc.
Of course, I love, love, love books but they have lots of magazines as well.
I always upload our B&N gc for our Nook books. BUT, when I'm there in person, I always stop by the coffee shop. You just CAN'T have too many caramel brulee lattes this time of year. They have cute little gift sets too. We usually buy DS a "learn to draw" book for around $10, or paper airplane sets for about the same amount. Last year we purchased a nice LEGO set for 1/2 off. I agree with Zhoen...in store deals seem to be better than online.
I love the B&M store. I was just in there a few days ago. There are lots of kid toys & activity sets in addition to toys. There is a nice stationary section with notes, paper, nice binders & folders, colored pencils & journals, and calendars. I didn't realize until this thread that you could use a B&N card at the coffee shop - good to know!
I buy lots there, but usually from the store. Lately when I get a B&N gift card I put it straight onto my Nook account but there are plenty of fun things to buy there.
you can also purchase wonderful candles from them, along with calendars, travel books, Cheesecake Factory cheesecake slices (in store) and Starbucks flavored beverages (in store).
They have great stationary, they carry moleskine products but they have a wide range of pens, note cards, journals, ect. Thier kids department has some toys and games and plushes. They also have a coffee shop (starbucks coffee) that sells cups and accessories like that.
Ordering online (and some of this stuff in stores too) you can get Vera Bradley, Godiva Chocolates, mugs, house stuff, posters, magazine subscriptions, and yoga stuff.
