Has anybody heard anything about in store availability. I would like to look at it and most likely buy it on the spot. I have heard there may be some on the 30th.

I just posted on the other Nook thread. The Nook sold out last week for Christmas delivery. I haven't heard if there will be any in the stores or not - it doesn't seem realistic that they are taking orderes now from people online who will take delivery after Christmas but selling them in the store next week. They may have some display models, though. I'll look forward to hearing what you think of it if you manage to get one!!

They've moved the "display in stores" date from Nov. 30th to December 7th. If you look on the B&N help board there is alot of discussion on what, if any stores, will have units to sell.

Hopefully next week some people will start to get nooks into their hands and we'll start seeing some real reviews of the unit. Right now they haven't even supplied the tech mags with real operational nooks - just the literature and videos.

My DH ordered me one for Christmas a month ago. He got a call from B&N telling him delivery has been pushed back from pre-Christmas to January 4th. I really hope they're right because we're going on a cruise on the 8th and I'd like have it then.
