Barefootin' In the Keys at Old Towne

I just got a great deal through our timeshare group for this resort in July (I know it will be hot, but we'll survive). Has anyone stayed here and have any info. The site looks great, I just can't find many who have actually stayed there.

We enjoy taking a walk through Old Town. They have alot of cute little shops and some rides for the kids. I think on Saturday nights they have old car night and locals have their old cars there. Its a nice place to check out.

I took a quick tour of this place a couple of years ago. I just wanted to see if we would like to stay there in the future. It's definately a Key West style. It was very Clean with a small pool. It's very close to Old town. It's not a really big complex I would say not more than 15 duplexes. The Staff was very friendly and we felt welcome just to look around. Some of the units were 2 story.

If you are talking about the Days Inn which is part of Old Town it is a total and complete hole in the ground. It is not maintained well, dirty, smelly, the pools are terrible. As for Old Town itself, it is no where near as classy as ANYTHING in Orlando. Most of the people the worked there were about a step above carneys. That whole area on Irlo Bronson is a place to avoid.

Goodness that's scary. I hate to hear the area is bad. As for it being a Days Inn, this place is called Barefootin' in the Keys it is a condo type resort and it is rated Gold Crown so I'm hoping at least our resort is ok. Thanks.
