Bare Minerals

I used to use Bare Minerals. Probably for 3 years or so. About a year ago I switched to Laura Geller Balance & Brighten or Bronze & Brighten. I like her product a lot more. I use my Proactiv moisturizer w/SPF underneath it.

I've been using BareMinerals for 15+ years.

At home, where the temperature can reach 110+ degrees, I use a moisturizer, followed by SPF 30 sunscreen, followed by Mineral Veil, followed by foundation (fair or light or combination there of), followed by Mineral Veil. The Mineral Veil acts as a light primer--I can't use regular primers--I break out like mad! Contrary to popular belief, our summers are quite humid for 6 to 8 weeks--in addition to the horrendous heat! We just had a break for a few days, but the mercury is climbing again...!

While at WDW, I don't wear make-up to the parks in the heat and humidity, just moisturizer, sunscreen, tinted moisturizer (Serious Skin Care most recently, but also use other brands) and more sunscreen! In the evenings--or when I need to look a bit more polished, I use the same products as at home.

As a point of reference, I'm a charter member of the burn, peel and freckle club. Translated: very fair! :)

Yup..didn't like it.I am back to using Makeup forever Face and body foundation and when I apply it with a primer it does not budge and does not feel like a heavy mask on my face.I wore makeup all throughout my Sept 08 and 09 trips and did NOT have issues with sweaty ,streaky skin.My pics look good and I felt good.

Makeup Forever foundation is the best out there IMO. :lovestruc I ended up switching from Bare Minerals to Makeup Forever's Face and Body Foundation and just like RMuliere said, there's no streaking, it stays put and looks GREAT! I highly recommend it and it never hurts to try something new

I learned about this make-up from the Dis Community Board:

www.everydayminerals.com

Try the free sample kit. It lets you pick different colors and/or formulas. If you find you like one, look at the prices!

I tried many different mineral base make-ups before I learned about Everyday Minerals. Bare Essentuals (love it--the original is the best), Jennifer Flavin's mineral make-up from HSN, Leeza's Gibbons version from an infomercial, regular store cosmetic labels--Loreal and Physician's Formula.

Hands down, for the money, I can't find anything better than Everyday Minerals. I have oily skin and use the matte formula in medium beige. I like their All Smiles blush a lot too.

In Florida, I apply the Everyday Minerals base in layers in a well air-conditioned room. After adding blush and eyeshadows, I go over my whole face with a light layer of BE Mineral Veil which I have from QVC in the SF 30 formula.

Bare Minerals rocks in the parks! I've been a convert for several years, and moved to the matte formula a number of months ago. I find it holds up to the heat, humidity and sweat. The only other additional sunscreen I wear is on my nose just as added protection. I burn pretty easily these days (never burned as a child), and if I burn at all while wearing Bare Minerals it will be on my nose. Love, love, love the stuff!
