I didn't have those problems, but was less than impressed with the product itself. My sister uses another brand called Sheer Cover that I really prefer, but unfortunately, it requires you to belong to a "club" to get it, where you get monthly deliveries. If they ever start selling that in the stores, I'd buy it.

Actually HSN.com sells it without a membership. I just ordered a starter kit and can't wait to give it a try. BE is just so expensive! Also, if you've never ordered from HSN before, they have a coupon for $15 off any $20 purchase. New customers only. Code is 133105. My total after shipping was $21.

elliemae,
Thanks for the discount code. I decided to order this stuff. Geez, HSN charges a lot for shipping--$9.50 for a little makeup kit. I sure hope this means that I'll have it by tomorrow!! But, it was pretty inexpensive with the $15.00 coupon. Much better than the $40 price Ulta was charging for their kit. I feel a bit better after only spending $21. Can't wait to see what it does for my wrinkles!

HI,

Yes, I use Sheer Cover from Bare Minerals I believe. It's the informerical with Leeza Gibbons. I do really really like it. The foundation is the powder and it works well with my skin. I like the finishing powder as well.

I would recommend it. And I only got the ONE month supply (NO MONTHLY CLUB MEMBERSHIP) and the one month lasted about 3 or 4 months.

Can you tell me where you bought this? My sister also bought from the infomerical, but had to join a club.

Duh, I guess it would pay to read the whole thread! Thanks for the info. Off to HSN now!

Sure, no problem. I've been wanting to try BE for a while but it's so expensive. I figured I'd try this because of the coupon. If I like it I'm thinking I could register under my husband's name and get another set with the discount before I have to start paying full price. :teeth:

Thank you elliemae! I just ordered some for $21. Wait till I tell my sis, she's a member of this "club" and keeps getting it every month, way more makeup than she needs!

I like the way it feels on my face but don't like the way it makes my wrinkles show up. Am I doing something wrong????

Kim

I think you might want to use moisturizer and then a primer. Try it!

Ah, I am glad I did a search first! LOL I have been wanting to try this as well. Where are you all finding "try me" kits and at what price? I do not have an Ulta or Sephora here, but I would like to try this makeup.

The "try me" kit I saw was at Ulta and it was $40. I've spent enough on products and most I don't like--I just couldn't pay $40 and find out I don't like it. I did the HSN thing (see posts above) and it came to $21. I don't feel so bad about that.

I sure Ulta is on line if you want to try these. I know that Sephora is.

I rarely travel to the store an hour away, I use www.sephora.com

I've ordered a "try me" kit from QVC. You can use it for 30 days and if you hate it, send it back with no questions asked.

I love it though. I just had a client ask me if I still used it and she said she just bought some up in Pigeon Forge. Some cosmetics store up there is sells it and will do a makeover for you so she was able to see it on herself before purchasing. Good luck to the people trying it.

Does anyone know the name of the store in Pigeon Forge?

We don't have a store that is anywhere close to us (that I know of) that sells it. We will be going to Pigeon Forge next month. I would like to have the makeover.

I would love to do the HSN deal, but all I see the the stuff by Leeza Gibbons. Can anyone help me?

I bought mine on ebay. The seller ahave very good ratings & I have 3 friends who love it. I like it. It is hard to travel with. My favorite thing is the Mineral Veil.

Kae

Kae, I tried looking on ebay but wasnt quite sure what I was looking at or what to look for, aside from searching for bare minerals.

Amanda,
The Leeza Gibbons stuff is supposed to be just like the Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals stuff. In fact, Snoopy was on here earlier in the thread and said her sister used the Leeza Gibbons stuff and it was better than the BE makeup. So, I thought I'd give it a shot.

Reviving this thread because I got my Leeza Gibbon's Sheer Cover in the mail last week and have been using it for a week.

I like it and it is nice, but I'm not sure that it is any better than my Clinique foundation. Certainly, when I first apply it my skin looks absolutely flawless (my Clinque does not do this); however, after a few hours, I'm not sure that I see a difference. But, it didn't make my crow's feet any worse (or better). It is a nice feel though. I've been alternating each day with my old make-up routine and this new one. It is a bit more time consuming and I don't like that at 5:00 a.m. in the morning!!

Now, they did include a "lip to lid" highlighter and I LOVE that stuff. Gosh, it really gives me a nice, healthy, and very natural glow.

I did not care for the their concealer. It did not conceal as well as my Clinique City Stick. Their cleanser was nice, their moisturizer, I hated.

So, I'm still not sure if I'll make the switch.

Snoopy, did you like yours??

I have been using BE for about 9 months now. I like it, and it is not so expensive or difficult to get here in Minnesota, since they have a store at the MOA. I do think that it does not have the staying power of some of the more traditional makeups, but if I am going to be out all day, I take a small amount with me for fresh up like you would a compact. When they were selling the trial kits, I bought one to use as my fresh up kit in the car.

Also with mineral make up, try spritzing your face with spring water... it helps the make up "set" better and stay longer. Actually I think mineral make up lasts just as long as the other stuff on my face, yet it isn't heavy at all.

Don't use BE or the Leeza Gibbons stuff, but use Aromaleigh (www.aromaleigh) and love it. Cheapest stuff I have found, and I like that it is a very matte finish. If I want to add glow, they have some great powders that I just tried that I like. The color selection was far better than BE as well! I just wish I didn't have to order it, but it is great stuff and great customer service... quick to ship!

Christine, yes, I did get mine. Funny, I actually liked the moisturizer the best. I don't know that I'll use it all the time, but I much prefer this product to Bare Essentuals. What I don't like about Bare Essentuals, even though I tried two different shades, is that it has a shimmery effect to it. I like Sheer Cover because its matte.
