Barcelona Pre-cruise questions

Two questions.

1. Has anyone taken the number 46 bus from the airport? Our hotel, which is a bit outside of the city to the west, is directly on the number 46 line. How easy is it to find the stop outside of terminal 1 to take bus number 46?
   
   
2. Where can one purchase the T10 metro tickets at the Barcelona airport? I see that the number 46 bus is covered on the T10 pass. I have seen varying reports online that one can buy the T10 at an airport tobacco shop or at a metro station kiosk. I know normally the L9 Metro Station costs more than the normal route coming from the airport, but the number 46 bus is included in the T10 zone, so can I buy a T 10 ticket package at the metro station at the airport even though the metro station at the airport is not part of the T10 zone? (I hope that makes sense!)

Unfortunately I can't answer your question but suggest you might want to post it on cruise critic under the Spain port of call board. There are sometimes locals on there that could likely answer it.

I signed in to reply yes we took it to the airport and it was very convenient. However, a quick google tells me we took the Express Bus to the airport which was very convenient and easy. If you're near either of the two plazas where it has stops, I would strongly recommend it. It appears bus 46 is less expensive, but more stops and slower.

Thank you, but we are not on the Aerobus route. I asked the same question on the Rick Steves board and got this answer:

1. It is well signed posted at Terminal 1. Just follow the signs for buses 46, L99 and PR1, also known as metropolitan buses. Follow the signs, it is easy to find it. I have taken many times bus 46. It is easy to use, it is a city bus and quite fast and cheap
2. You can't purchase a T-10 at Aeroport T1 L9 Sud Metro stop machines (option disabled there for obvious reasons). You must buy it at the tobacconist (cash only) located at Arrivals T1. If you can't find it, ask any airport worker or airport info and they will help you to find it. Look for Tabacos. Once at the tobacconist, they will ask you how many zones you want...you just want 1 zone only if you are staying and travelling inside Barcelona city...zone 1 includes the airport, all barcelona city and some metropolitan area towns as well.
